I will run my 05 V6 against your 02 GT anyday of the week, fella. I may not win, but I will look MILES better and have paid less. Come to think of it, I may even win by a nose.

Lol i see you are a true mustang fan...knocking the looks of the older stangs lol

I wasn't saying you guys weren't quick, etc...I just don't understand why you would buy the V6 to make power adding mods when for less you could just have the v8.

Btw I only paid $12,000 for my car....don't have money sitting around for a new one lol.

Regarding my feelings on having a GT vs. a v-6...

We chose the V-6 vert for a few reasons...

#1. GT Vert's are very very hard to find right now, and if you do, very overpriced. (2005's of course... the older models don't fit my fat butt as well!)
#2 GT's are more expensive insurance wise... even for a 29 year old married couple.
#3 Unless I was going to track the car (I'm not) the V-6 has more than enough power to do my thing in traffic... street racing is for Honda's with bad body kits.

As far as the money issue... spending the same amount or more on Mods when you could have just bought a GT... To me it's about taking a stock car and making it better than the factory did, personalizing it and making it your own. There will always be someone with more money and faster cars out there... the sooner we all accept that and just enjoy what we have...the better!

It is the American way to try to improve the performance of your car regardless of what it is. I'm constantly amazed at the GT owners lack of understanding as to why a V6 owner would want to mod their car. We mod them because we WANT to mod them!

I put on the Inlet tube today from MMR, and now for some reason it seems like there is LESS power and LESS noise coming from my Magnaflow axleback, almost like stock again. I already had the CAI, all I did was add the tube to let in more air. Anyone have any ideas? Perhaps my tune needs adjusted?? Any help would be great!

There was a $6000 price difference between the V6 and a similarly equipped GT. If I wanted to spend $6G on performance enhancements ( I don't) I think a stock GT would lose.

i got 194.6 BONE STOCK

I ran 166.5 at the rear wheels. Mine is kinda low but I found out that if you do any mods to it and don't reflash you can actually lose alittle power. So now I'm waiting for Diablo to finish the Predator for the V6

Yeah but I added a module that bypasses the IAT sensor. I noticed a good pickup right after I put it on but it's tuned itself back down below stock I think. I'm getting an Xcalibrator 2 next week I'll think that'll fix that problem

Ok to give a heads up on my last dyno of only 202hp!!! I’ve talked to a few people and got some advise... my duel exhaust was true with no H or X pipe.... witch made it sound like sh** and I was told it was robing me of HP. So I had the exhaust shop weld in a H-pipe for 50$$ bucks... I notice a big difference not shore till I get a new dyno... it stills makes a little bit of noise for a sec... Im wondering If a X pipe would be bitter . Plus just got my MMR tube in and even notice a good change in it to... the guy at breenspeed hook me up with a tune for it!!!
