Isn't the Mcleod a twin-disc setup? If it is, I'd go that route I guess, depending on what you have in store for future power..

I'm pretty sure I'm going to need a clutch at some point this summer, I just haven't decided what to get yet. I think when I do it though, I'm going to replace the bellhousing with an SFI approved scatter-shield, too.. I've found them online for only like $300-400..

Let us know which clutch you chose, why you chose it, and how you like it.. I'll need to start doing homework here in a few months, so it would be most helpful.

Thanks!

i have the spec 3+ and if i were to do it all over again i may have gone with something a little easier to drive. Only thing that is annoying with it is 1st gear. Its a pretty in or out clutch so 1st gear can be jumpy if you dont time it right. But as far as the track goes I LOVE IT

A steel flywheel would help make it easier to start in 1st.

I haven't read anything bad about it, but i saw somewhere that twin disk clutches tend to make more noise when engaging/disengaging. My stock clutch is noisey enough. Not that I would have bought a $900 clutch anyway.

Maybe you do, but I always play the odds.
