Default Liquid Clay Bar

Just an FYI -

I just bought a bottle of the Turtle Wax - Ice Liquid Clay Bar. I must admit that besides the $13 price tag, it works pretty good and with much less effort than a regular clay bar.

I am sure that many peope out there are just like me that waste a lot of money trying out new cleaning products. I just think it would be nice to be able to get other people's thoughts on new products.

Either way, give it a try...that is all

i'm not sure...all i know is that i did half my hood and stood back to compare the sides...(i had just done a liquid wax 4 days ago)...it was like night and day. the clayed side looked damn near brand new. it says something about a triple layer cleaning process or something...who knows, looked good though

It's a cleaner wax, just like the one the Meguiars "Consumer" line has ... It's garbage compared to a clay bar.

Is this liquid clay bar supposed to pick up contaminants like a real clay bar? I don't see how it could. So why have the words "clay bar" inthe name? Isn't it just a wax?

It's a cleaner wax, it'll remove ***minor*** stuff compared to a clay bar.

I'm sure it makes a good cleaner wax, but it doesn't compare to a real clay bar. The purpose of a clay bar isn't to make a car shinier, it it to remove the contaminants and particles stuck in the paint. After claying a car properly the surface of the paint should be smooth as glass with no roughness on the surface.

The proper way to do this is to first take the clay bar and make it into a a round pancake about 4-5 inches in diameter. Then, working on a clean surface take some spray detailer(such as mothers)and lightly mist the surface. I like toclay1-2 sq. ft sections at a time.If you don't use enough detailerthe clay bar will stick to the paint. Using too much is just a waste. You want to move the clay bar over the surface in a cross pattern first going across the car then going from front to back. Do this until the surface is smooth. Then wipe with a microfiber and move onto the next section. -Andrew

Hmmm...interesting, but I think I'll stick with the actual bar...

I've tried the liquid clay bar; attempted to get the hard water stains off my car. The $hit is exactly that..........$hit. Did absolutely nothing to the stains.
