Default Im new here!

Hey, I am a recent SVT Cobra owner and I couldn't be happier. Well except that I took my 03 Cobra to the local drag strip this friday. And well it was an interesting experience. I do know a good bit about cars and how they operate and it was not the first time that I have been to the drag strip just the first time that I have taken this car. Well I broke the rear passenger side axle or C.V. or something. I only lauched at no more that 1000 rpms. and it actually hooked on the crappiest tires ever Riken Raptors they were on the car when I got it and they are new so I won't complain. I just thought that the stock axles were stronger than that. Any comments or suggestions would be very helpful.

Default RE: Im new here!

You broke the half shaft basically. There are ways to upgrade to a level 5 halfshaft to stop that from happening, or a Straight rear axle...

Check out CobraBob's website, there's a wealth of good information on there.

in regards to the rear end, might want to check out the blue and red pill upgrades at svtperformance.com.
