This might be one of those things that has been gone over to death, but I'm not finding any info with search or Google. I recently added an Alpine head unit to my car, and noticed that my door subs are no longer working. The other six speakers work fine, but nada from the 8" speakers in the door.
Shaker 500 was in the car previously. Is there a fix for this? Maybe I'm missing something in my wiring? I really hope I'm not SOL on this.
The second issue is that I can't get my dimmer working on my head unit. Common problem, or my poor wiring skills? It seemed pretty straight forward, but perhaps I'm missing something.

PS I've been installing Damplifier in my car, and the difference is amazing! It's been the best upgrade to my audio so far. Pain in the butt to do it, though.
do you have the remote turn on from the alpine. to the amp turn on in the hrns?
There are two dimmer wires in the factory hrns, the dimmer(orange) and the dimmer ground(orange/white). Which one is hooked up and what is the dimmer not doing?
