socool9004 -> Ford Racing 18" wheels (3/15/2008 3:37:49 PM)

Hey guys, i just upgraded my wheels to the Ford Racing 18" wheels. I LOVE the way the car looks, and cant wait to put some wider tires on, but has anyone else noticed some sluggish starting and loss of low end?

Well if you are coming from 16/17 inch wheels you are adding some more weight, but not a ton like you would with 20s

What tire sizes are on those fanblades?
Overall diameter the same as what you took off?
Taller tires equals less low end torque.
Not enough specs and details to diagnose the problem.

fanblades........nice........same ones that I got. .......honestly i havent noticed any loss at back end at all.

i got my take off FanBlades couple months ago, it was the best $$$$ i have spent so far.

How did you shred the fender lining is what I'd like to know?  Did the new wheels/tires do that?

ODDYSEY -> RE: Ford Racing 18" wheels (3/16/2008 8:38:14 AM)

He did a GT front conversion and hasn't replaced the fender liners with the GT version yet.

socool9004 -> RE: Ford Racing 18" wheels (3/16/2008 11:57:18 AM)

oddysey knows, I did the bumper swap, but i never swaped out the fender lining and i was doing a freeway run with my buddy on 680N headed to Sonoma, around 120 i herd an AWFUL noise, i thought i had a knock or something slipped out of place. after about an 2 hours of driving, i got to Sonoma to fill up and saw my fenderwell, er what was left of it, just resting against my tire.(not on these wheels) so i tucked it back and put a couple more pins in it. i REALLY need to get the GT stuff.
