Default My Car aka 1987 Mach1

It started out as a standard LX with an I-4.

What it ended up as (and still not quite done) is my version of a 1987 Mach1, if there was such a beast...

Engine: 5.0 bored .20 over
Heads: AfR 165s
Intake: Weiand Stealth Intake
Carb: Street Demon Jr. 650 cfm
Tranny: 5-Speed overdrive rebuild from 5.0
Rear: 8.8" 1988 turbo T-Birt 3:83:1 with disk brakes
Custom Made Grill in front
Poly Bushings
Lowering Springs
Custom Made Dash Pod and Dash esthetics
Fiberglass Hood
... and much more

Let me know what you think:

This is where it all started a year and a half ago with a $700 daily driver.

I first built the engine while I drove it.

I designed and fabricated many parts for the project.

Assembled Dash

Another view of the dash.

Freshly washed from the paint shop a few days ago.

Still detailing it and putting in weatherstripping and all kinds of misc other stuff, along with some interior work.

I will post more pictures as I take them.

different but awesome.

are the heads aluminum or iron?? cause i notice theyre painted. if theyre aluminum i wouldve kept em unpainted, cause, thats part of the reason to get aluminum heads! lol

i double checked the photo and it looks like theyre aluminum. (actually i dont think afr sells SBF iron heads). shoulda kept em unpainted .

The heads are aluminum. I don't like a lot of bling. So I painted them to give the appearance of being stock.

I like it...its something you dont see everyday. I toy'd with the idea of doing a notchback in the GT-R theme. Very cool IMO.
