Well it was a considerate note, they weren't mean or anything. Maybe try just starting it with the garage door closed and see if that helps, obviously you wouldn't want it to idle for to long.
Also kudos on the loud ass exhaust

My neighbor just threatened me with calling the police.I said call them.Cops came and told the the guy I was running stock exhaust(Ford Racing Stingers at the time) and I was legal.I'm glad he is moving because I'm gonna get a pair Spin-Tech's which are a lot louder.
But its great to have nice neighbors who would ask than tell big brother.
