coil spring spacers safe to use on 07 vert?

bjh517 -> coil spring spacers safe to use on 07 vert? (3/13/2008 11:55:11 AM)

I want to go with beefy tires on my 18X10 DD Bullitts (295/45/18s), but the clearances are too tight for my tastes. I don't want to roll the wheel well lips.
Can I safely use coil spring spacers on the rear springs to get the extra clearance?
Like these: http://www.jcwhitney.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Product?storeId=10101&Pr=p_Product.CATENTRY_ID%3A2005889&TID=8014524F&TID=8014524F&productId=2005889&catalogId=10101

Will it mess up any thing else by doing it?

YUK! [:'(]

You want opinions, you now have mine [:)]. I think raising the car is the wrong thing to do, reguardless of what tires you want to install. You didn't mention what year car you want to install these tires onto. I have an '02 and run 295/30/18" on a nearly 2" drop and have ZERO clearance issues, even with 1/2" spacers on rear 10.5" wheels. I would suggest lower profile tires to add clearance and not do the '55 Chevy thing from back in tha day...
