I love my new 01 Cobra, but I hate the hood. I traded a GT for the Cobra and the only thing I really miss is the hood...
I'll trade my Cobra heat extractor style hood for a stock 01-04 GT hood with the hood scoop, even swap. I'm sure we all know what hoods I'm talking about, but just in case I added a picture. The Cobra is not mine, I borrowed the photo, but that's the car and hood that I have. The GT *was* mine, that's the one I traded in, and that's the hood I want back!
The hood is in good shape for it's age, and it only has 29k miles on it. It has some very light swirl/scratch marks on it and a few tiny dings, the kind of things you can't really see until you're right up on it. I'll accept a hood of equal quality, one that's basically in good condition. And I'll make good up-close photos of it available to any interested party, and will expect the same in return...
I am in Atlanta, Ga. I'd like to deal with someone who's within easy driving distance, maybe 200ish miles. I'm willing to drive to you, so that if for some reason I decide to cancel the trade, you won't be ticked off that you drove for nothing :) So if you're in Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, or Tennessee and want to trade, I'm willing to drive to you and swap em out. I'm not especially gifted mechanically, but I have faith that I/we can unbolt and rebolt a couple of hoods. If anybody knows that swapping these hoods won't be as easy as I think, please let me know! I've gotten some feedback that leads me to believe each hood will fit on the other car...
