I heard a rumor earlier today that there is a way to have Ford install their own turbo for a GT500?? I am so lost, I think it is a cool idea, but I could not find any information passing this claim as true?
Please let me know. Thanks Also how fast is it if it is true

I just read a post from Evo performance on a SVT forum. They are showing pictures of their first turbo setup for the GT500. As far as I know, they are the first ones to do it...

Ford has enough problems with their Power Stroke Diesel’s Turbo, I doubt they want to foul up the good thing they have going with the GT500 with Eaton supercharger and open up that can of worms.
Ford has replaced or serviced (cleaned) about 50% of the 6.0-liter (2003-2007) diesel’s turbo chargers.
They have done mine on my 2005 twice, cleaned once then replaced, and most of the people I know have had one or the other done at least once by 50,000 miles.
