There's a guy I know who is making his GT look like a V6. He has acquired the '07 spoiler, Tri-Bar Emblems and PP Grill with fogs but he is looking for a pair of rocker panels to complete his mission.

What did you guys do with the V6 rocker panels when you switched them out for the GT rockers? If you have any just sitting around, let me know.

I'll tell you what, even if I had a GT, I think I'd replace the GT symbols on the side panels with the tri-bar pony, but keep the trunk GT symbol.  I freakin' love looking at those pony symbols!  Can't get anymore american than red, white, and blue with a running steed!  Yup, Tri-bar symbol FTW!

I have a pair in good condition that I took off yesterday.  I was planning on holding onto them in case I ever needed to switch back, but if he needs some I'm sure we could work something out.  Plus I love the idea of a sleeper mustang.  Let me know.

I'm getting ready to take mine off as well.  Tribar ponies? yeah if I had a GT I'd probably at least change the one on the rear of the car but the sides I'm not sure.  I don't know how these ponies come off and if they can direct swap to GT emblems.  But one thing that is a little irritating about the ponies on the sides is that the tribars are not clear coated.  I noticed this when waxing the red, the red paint comes off with the carnauba wax.  None of the paint on the body panels comes off though.  Well here I went off topic  again :)

I wonder if we should apply some clear coat to the Tribar emblem? At least on the colored stripes?

I'm doing the same thing managed to get some v6 rockers from a board member that was local but still lookin for a Grabber Orange to trade bumpers with. Turning out to be more difficult than I thought it would. Good luck to your friend and his project, this board is very helpful so I'm sure it won't take long to get the rockers.
