Shinoda Performance (TeamShinoda) has moved recently, so some things were understandably in a state of flux. They are in Pensacola, Florida now (again) and currently have several bosses being built (MCA National here in couple of weeks) and have 2 All-American SuperCars (Vortechs). I believe there are about 85 on the current build register, but I don't work for them (just spend a lot of time there "socializing"). Boss Shinodas are popular, but not on the scale of Shelbys and while they can be rather expensive, they are competitively priced with other specialty Mustangs). I believe there are a dozen or so dealers who act as distribution/sales points, but they ship/deliver nationwide of course.

Shinoda's are amazing.  I think if they could advertise they would defienlty attract the buyers.  I would take a shinoda over a shebly, roush, or saleen anyday.  They are pure muscle cars.  Of course this is just my personal opinion.  Shinoda FTW!!

Meh.  There's a dealer here that sells mostly used exotics (Maserati, Ferarri, etc), and he has a brand-new Shinoda in the showroom.  I'm not horribly impressed by it, nothing that anyone else can't do.  Some aftermarket parts put on the car, some interior work (stitching on the seats, etc), and a centrifugal supercharger..

Yes, it's better than just doing it yourself because the car was MADE that way, but I wouldn't pay anything NEAR what they ask for one..  I'm sure it also probably doesn't help that the salesman is a TOTAL tool (he brings the thing out to local shows once in a while trying to sell it, and can't - but there are 2 PJ's around here, a couple S281E's, and several GT500's, so there's money, just no one wants it)...

Yup, that's the one.  The guy up here has serial # 07-01, and it's white with red paint.  Like I said, nothing fancy.  Not even a body kit.

Yup.  Same ugly thing as this.

http://buffalo.craigslist.org/car/575254586.html

This guy has been trying to sell it since the beginning of last season (that I know of), maybe longer.  For $60k?  Even for $50k (used - the eBay one), NO WAY.

Nothing but another two-bit company trying to cash in on the success of this body style.  I'd take a Saleen (or even a Roush, especially one of the upper-end like P51 or 427/428) over a Shinola --err, Shinoda, any day.

There are no worries about being underpowered. This BOSS Shinoda Level II Supercharged Mustang has a polished Vortec supercharger, underdrive pulleys and fuel management system, which is supported by a Shinoda Performance computer tune. Take the hardest of turns and winding roads or an SCCA road track knowing it has: Eibach springs, Shinoda sway bars, Shinoda lower control arms and a four wheel Tokico adjustable suspension.

Yeah, and?  May I take the time to reiterate:  Those parts are nothing special.  Anyone can put them on any car.  What makes this car worthy of being a "special model"?  Because they made sway bars and LCAs?  So you're telling me that if I put Steeda sway bars and LCAs on my car, and Eibachs and Tokico's, and a supercharger, then I can call my car a Steeda??

Those cars are nothing special.  For $60k you could CERTAINLY build a much more street-worthy and certainly more powerful car than that.  Not to mention one that's much easier on the eyes..

exx1976! gesh, what a kill joy you are... ok, ok... we get it! You dont like Boss Shinodas. Thank you for your opinion.

Now continuing on...

The Boss Shinoda, has several proprietary parts including specially designed rear spoiler and the front air splitter. Boss Shinodas are built by Shinoda Performance... J.K. and Larry Shinoda (before his death) designed the performance and graphics packages, so there is a direct linage back to the original Boss Mustang (Larry Shinoda's project). Finally, each Shinoda Boss is register with the Shinoda family as authentic and enhanches its resale value.

I agree that they are very expensive (overpriced? maybe, just like Shelbys, Saleens and Roushs etc) and also that most performance mods can be installed by other tuners. That in no way deminishes the sense of pride one can have in "owning a bit of Mustang history". It's not for everyone (and I dont own one - or work for them either)... but then again, some Stangers love them.

Its like another grade for the Mustang.. Another Option.. Customs, Saleen, Shelby, Roush, Shinoda, and well, GT and Pony.. You get the point.. Shinoda has done some great stuff though.. I was just wondering about them.. Usually they are one of the top picks on Mustang.. As of late though, its been silent..

That front chin spoiler looks like an afterthought... someone was sitting back at Shinoda and was like lets just throw this front chin on there real quick and call it a day....    I agree with exx1976

I agree its lame to slap parts on and call it your own... Very lame.

But, if I had the $$$ I'd much rather buy a turnkey car ready to rumble than have to sit under jackstands for  days in my garage... like ive done with this car.... and just have boltons anyways.

So yeah, if you got the $$$ then cool.
