I would say keep it on the track. Then again if I had a car like we have now at age 17 with 500hp Im sure all of us would be unsafe and down right stupid.
I have gone 160 a few times in the 03 but when it was safe and not at night!
You will get caught sooner or later just be careful. If you kill someone you will have to live with it for the rest of your life that would suck!
Its funny what people will write on here, you know they wouldnt say it to each others face with out getting smacked.

I just don't know on what planet going 170mph on a public street sounds like a good idea?? I mean we all do stupid things, but you have to at least be able to admit that what you did was a dumbass thing to do.
ORIGINAL: DOHC Your going to get arrested.WHAAAhAAHAAAAAAA.
Have you ever slept in a bed with five crackheads?

DOHC - you must be a moron like the poster, or the poster himself. There's a difference between "smashing the pedal" while being smart about it, versus being a reckless retard and doing it.
The Cobra motor isn't meant for runs like that. The high levels of boost involved and the high levels of heat will blow that motor. The engine design is flawed and doesn't allow the motor to cool itself properly, which is why there are certain modifications you can do to correct the issue. The IRS is the worst IRS design out there. It's stupid to go 170 mph side by side with another car on a public road where there are no safegaurds - All it takes is a blown tire. Anyone else that thinks it's a smart idea, should kill themselves.
Why don't you read something, go work on the car and maybe learn something while you're at it.
HHmmmm. The motor isn't ment for runs like that. And you guy's are telling me to learn something. How about a low gear, dyno tune (4th) was not ment to run at WOT in 5th an 6th. Thats why they have high speed tunes, for high gears. That would be a more logical statement, but your teaching me something, right. And another logical statement woud be that the engine design is flawed and dosent allow the motor to cool itself properly when running higher boost, but works fine in stock trim, but you seem to know what your talking about. An the irs breaks under high HP, and yes like the cooling system and fuel system, you should upgrade the irs when adding power, but for most works fine in stock trim. That would be a more logical statement. But im a moron. Yes, 170mph on public roads is stupid but can be done without putting others in danger.
There needs to be an age limit on here to keep you 16 year old punks away. Its stupid to drive that fast with other people around. I could care less if you blow your motor, actually I hope you do so we can say TOLD YA SO. Go back High SChool and finish up so you can learn not to be a moron.
I just got sent back to 10th grade, but with summer school and extra credit I think I will be out in 2 years.

DOHC - there have been people to blow the motors in 4th gear just as much as 5th and 6th. There have been people that have snapped half shafts in stock form. The car has busted in stock form just as much as modified. I actually know a lot of Terminator owners and worked on mine a lot... You obviously don't know much about the cars. Leave it to people that actually know what they're talking about.
The cars while very stout and very easily modified, do have a lot of issues. The IRS does break on stock horsepower cars, the motor does blow under duress for long periods of time - no matter what gear. The engine is very seriously flawed with the cooling of the motor. You can really read all about it on svtperformance of people doing 130mph runs stopping in 4th gear, and blowing their motors... Trust me.. it happens. You obviously have something to learn. Don't take it as a knock - we all had to learn sometime.. but just don't act like you know about something when you obviously don't.

You got sent back to 10th grade... Answers a lot.
Wow. you do know a lot... that was a lot of factual info. FACT 1: There have been a lot of snapped half shafts in stock form. FACT 2: The car has BUSTED in stock form just as much as modified, and you must of got this from Websters. FACT 3: You actually know a lot of Terminator owners. You are what the Club Racers call a I.R. Internet Racer Read to much on the net. I bet you still Dyno tune for your base tune. You are even so intelligent as to get rid of your Cobra and trade it for a weak pistoned Mach1. Know thats a FACT. Anouther FACT, Bad tuners and returnless fuel systems kill motor's. Stock cars in makes of all types brake every day. We can fight all night, but anouther fact is the motor is a beast. Might need some help here and there, but it can throw down some numbers. My P.E. teacher didn't like me. so he gave me a D. The burnout I did in the faculty parkinglot didn't help either;)
Dude wtf I know this I already has this discussion with 2 other people. And You are proving my point about the Fact that the Cobra was made for the track and Not drag racing. Drag racing it on the Street is different from on a stick tark mack. And My motor has alrwasy been perfect never one problem. You act as if you dont have a Cobra. You can not baby these motors they are made to run every single second of the day. And yeah do you know what Cas Iron is. Well it what the Block is made from and well not get stress cracks form boost pressure lololol I cant believe you said that. Oh and about the Cops and me getting arressted Its called I ride out with certain people who ware uniforms and well lets just say that it wont be happening in my life time. And I Dont know if you herd but look it up for cop to give out a Street Racing ticket it is Unconstitutional. It was just put in a couple of months ago.

I know the law that a street racing ticket was deemed unconstitional.... but, what you fail to recognize at least regarding that is that when it's left to the discretion of the officer. They can have proof of street racing, and still give tickets for it. But yes, you are right - it's not at their discretion anymore without solid proof... but they have also raised the penalties for reckless driving which is what they'll give you now, which carries a lot of the same penalties for it, so watch your ass on the road.
... to DOHC ... homie im not an internet racer... I had my 500+rwhp Cobra and ran it all over the place. I had modifications necessary to do a brand new tune... and no it wasn't dyno tuned, it was street race tuned by Hermann from Horsepower by Hermann, I believe 2x National Champ... he knows what he's doing. I never said your block would blow based on the stress from the blower. The bottom end of the motor is still a very stout bottom end... it's the actual heads that blow and can cause the need for you to rebuild the top half of the motor. Not the bottom half.
DOHC - I don't know why you think I never went out and did any of that crap with my Cobra when I had it. Since you guys are new to the board, the reasons why I actually sold my Cobra was due to the upkeep that it needs.. I was running to much power on a daily driver... 180 miles on a tank of gas isn't very good when I drove it everyday 15-20 miles each way for work, niether was 300 a year in tires (for just 2), a few alternators, FRPS', among other things. The Mach im not even really going to modify... maybe one of these days when I get another car i'll do a motor build and get either a centri or a turbo kit... but that's a few years down the road.. house takes priority to that.
but homie i've been in the videos... ive raced at the track, i've done my bit of street racing... i had beaten bikes in the car... it was a great time. If you've been running your car like that for 2 years (which I doubt you've had the car 2 years) that's great... congrats.. it will catch up with it - hopefully you rebuild the motor before it does for your sake... and you have 1 out of the bunch that will do that consistantly without blowing something apart.
As far as the information I know, that's been from speaking with tuners, working on the car myself, watching them be blown, and just talking with other owners... Some of it was read up on yes... but the majority of what i know is from tuners and watching them blow, and fixing my own Cobra... If fixing my own car, and helping others fix theres makes me an internet racer, then I guess you "club racers" are just to much... and to real for me... At least on some of the other threads i've read by Mystic he at least tries to talk about other things.. but DOHC you're just as effin retard.
and i didn't trade my cobra in for a mach... I actually did for a Fusion due to something that happened to me personally, and just recently bought the mach... but, as far as who tunes my cars.. I have people tune my cars that people bring their cars to from all parts of the country... hermann from Horsepower by Hermann and Sam from Coastal Dyno... Those are the only 2 tuners that have really tuned my car.. the only other person that touched my car was Don from Modular Madness, and that was just a tune correction because my a/f was high after I got some longtubes on the car... and at least he was on the cover of 5.0 for the worlds fastest stock block S197... Take your internet tough guy "Underground street racer" back to 1998 with Paul walker - I bet you have yourself a diecast of a Cobra. At least your buddy here has a real one.
Know what you're talking about before you address me... internet tough guy - hell you can't even buy a pack of smokes.. go to school.
You should reread your posts before hitting ok man It makes no since its like someone screaming at me missing words. I really suck at this too! But its hard to understand when you read it for the first time. By the way I have owned Cast Iron blocks all my life its no new thing!
how many v8 motors have you blown up? Dont lie me 1

lol.. this is my last post on this thread...
Mystic - I hope you really don't keep racing like that - because it is dangerous.. last thing we need is another death because of high spd racing... but if you do, be safe and at least get a roll cage.. just in case - well hell if you plan on your 1200rwhp TT Cobra you'll need one anyway for the track, lol.... and I hope you do the right modifications to keep your snake running in top shape.

Ya, you would be arrested if seen walking down the street (please read past post). The fact that you keep trying to justify, that you know all about the car and havent even gave any info, tells us your full of B.S. and wow you know some people and tuners. we don't care. There probebly the reason you had so may problems with the car. I never once tryed to say I know everything. Ya, everyone knows the car has had a few bad problems in the past, even more with the first run of the 03's, and yes the 03' 1/2's and 04's still had some problems. And your insult's are pritty weak. Quote, "you havent even had your car for 2 years"...."DOHC your just as effin retard"...Hhha...."Take your internet tough guy "Undergound street racer" back to 1998 with paul walker"...Wow, good one... "I bet you have a diecast of a Cobra"..lol I actually do. special order DSG. I keep it CLEAN... I can buy smokes, just because im in 10th grade doesn't meen im under 18 :)
Food for thought. Out of the 19,140 03/04 Cobra's out there, I would think maybe 2 to 3 thousand of the owner's post on the net there problems and/or mod's that they are doing. might be more, might be less. All my Cobra friend's don't even go on the net for the car. Soo whats all the other Cobra's doing? Join a club and find out.
