oh btw... in Florida (for those of you that live here) you can be arrested for anything the cop determines as "reckless"... if it warrants it. Something tells me 170mph would send you to jail and revoke your license for quite sometime. I rememebr a kid over in Orlando got his revoked for 3 years for doign 125+ in his WRX because "he was late for curfew"

In my Cobra i was running bottom 12's high 11's with a clutch quadrant that made me take 2 seconds to shift (or at least it seemed like, lol)... I never got to run it with a good quadrant in there, but definatly had 11's all over it.
Yeah, I feel you. I hear some guys are running stock shifter handle (not the base) and it allows for easier shifting. Im gonna try it out. Im running high 11's at this point. I need slicks.............She has a low 11 in her for sure. Im trapping at 120-122 with anywhere fomr 1.7-2.0 60fts.

well all I needed was a 100$ clutch quadrant - just never got around to it... the quadrant would've helped BIG TIME. If you're having those issues - might wanna get one.

Not sure which parents let their 5 year old drive 120mph? Don't think you blow a motor from going 170....You blow from excessive boost pressure or continued high RPM's and pressure. Likely will get a fatigue fracture....bend metal long enough and it will break...............................NASCAR a bunch of rednecks who can't drive??Then why doesn't everyone become a NASCAR driver? I think it is scarier racing side by side at 170 in a car that doesn't handle that well vs 200 mph F1 racing in the ultimate handling machine? Differnt racing but nonetheless racing

You should spel rite and use correct punkuation...WWHAAHAAHHAAAAHAHA. DAM people cry a lot on this site. Like people have a 500 plus HP car and never smash the petal a time or too. The motors blow because most tuners cant tune and a returnless system was not ment for high boost. You can also get arrested for walking down the street looking GAY. The Cobra has a IRS because it was ment for the road track not the 1/4 mile, should have bought a Mach 1.

DOHC - you must be a moron like the poster, or the poster himself. There's a difference between "smashing the pedal" while being smart about it, versus being a reckless retard and doing it.
The Cobra motor isn't meant for runs like that. The high levels of boost involved and the high levels of heat will blow that motor. The engine design is flawed and doesn't allow the motor to cool itself properly, which is why there are certain modifications you can do to correct the issue. The IRS is the worst IRS design out there. It's stupid to go 170 mph side by side with another car on a public road where there are no safegaurds - All it takes is a blown tire. Anyone else that thinks it's a smart idea, should kill themselves.
Why don't you read something, go work on the car and maybe learn something while you're at it.

There needs to be an age limit on here to keep you 16 year old punks away. Its stupid to drive that fast with other people around. I could care less if you blow your motor, actually I hope you do so we can say TOLD YA SO. Go back High SChool and finish up so you can learn not to be a moron.
