I picked up this business card at my local dealership today. I tried to get an oil change/rotate tire but they were backed up and I didn't feel like waiting. I saw this and asked the guy "Is this the 2009 front end of a Mustang or is it just someone's wishful thinking?" He was totally clueless...."uh...I never even saw that before. I dunno. Uh...the headlights look like the 2008's so it's a later version than that I guess....." So the question remains, what do you guys think? Would Ford put out a business card with just a concept drawing?

So what is a one of a kind concept Mustang pic doing on a Ford business card in middle America? It's not like someone can see that and ask for a Mustang that looks like that. It just seems incredibly out of place and a poor marketing decision if it's the Italian Mustang.

Its not on a Ford business card, its on a dealership business card. Big difference. It just means someone in the marketing department was told to make a business card design so they googled Mustang pics and found a cool looking one and made a business card. The end.
99% of the people who see that card would never know the different, so really the marketing guy didnt do anything wrong at all
The giugiaro mustang in that picture, is the first picture that commes up when typing in "mustang" on google images. It's a concept for a 2009 Mustang that was presented at the 2006 and 2007 LA Auto Show.
It has NOTHING to do with the real mustang. Except as a donation of advice for the next generation car. The project was done in commemoration of the original mustang and as a personal car for a car designer who worked on the original bugatti turbo car and several other cars over a long carrear. The designer no longer works for any company except Masserati.
One of the most important out of the several concept cars that were made for the mustang was heavily designed by the father of the designer of the giugiaro mustang.
The glassback roof idea was the only thing that was ever carried over though from the concept to a real mustang. It is now an option on the 2008 mustang.
The second mustang in the picture, the GT, is the first pictures that commes up when typing "mustang orange" into google images. Don't ask how I found this out.
