I think maybe we should have it a little farther south towards kentucky or tennesse. You might have a few more southern people show up that way. If we have it around june 15th there is a good chance I could make it. Plus, the moutain roads would be good for cruising.

+1 to kentucky / TN, ill get a good mom and pop stop for a cruise afterwards if that happens, the only problem is the heat wont be running the best time due to heat/humidity

Everyone always wants these meets to happen as close to them as possible, me included. However, since I know that there are a bunch of Chicago/IN/WI members AND I know the people who run a couple of the tracks here, it makes sence to have a mid-west meet near here. You guys are welcom to set somthing up closer to your area, but the location for this is set in stone and I will not listen to any other locations. Last year we had about 10 people show up, this year I am hoping for more, the only question is what track do we want to go to? US41 or Byron.
US41 (IMHO) was a pit (especially for the hours it took to get there), but since i've never been to byron so it's hard to compare. Byron is certainly closer, the question is where is the best 'value'... it seems like byron will give us 1 lane? what can US41 do?

US41 has been cleaned up quite a bit, the bathrooms still suck though. All we would get is a cheap entry and usually a pretty empty track (as long as no events are currently going on). I like Byron, but it can get very busy there, and the guy in the tower is a complete d-bag. I really don't care either way, it's the same general area. We don't have near enough people to even consider a track rental, so at any track we will just be running test and tune, around the bracket schedule.

I'm thinking crazy heat and humidity at that time of year. If I'm going to drive several hours to run I'd like to at least get some decent ETs. I was so pissed at baaarely missing the 12s at the last get-together in the 80* heat.

Yea I understand that Tommy, I am open to suggestions, but there are many weekends I have races this summer, plus the first couple of weeks in June are no good for me, my wife is due with our second baby on June 5. We can always shoot for late summer, end of August maybe early Sept? I am open to suggestions.
Is it a pit? Yes Can you get a bunch of runs off? Yes Can almost any car pass tech? Yes Can you set up Grudge/Stree races? Yes I was there Friday in the wifey's Tbss, there were 13 or so cars /trucks there. I made 13 back to back to bak runs(12.65's whofrugggin whoo) Back to back meaning I drove down the return road and made another pass!!
Im down on attending this wherever it is. US41 is the closest for me but I really do hate their track because its ghetto and they have pulled a LOT of **** on me in the past. but i will still go wherever.
