I am a body man, and I would do it like this: 1st support the car from any point that seems as though it will not put the weight on the rails. 2nd get some small scrap angle iron and tack weld pieces of it from the frame rails to other areas, like the rockers, or anything thats not going to get cut out when you remove the bad floors, this way when you do remove the bad ones, the rails stay in place. 3rd CREFULLY cut out what you don't want anymore, and then last but not least weld in your new pans. The key here is to not allow the rails to move around anywhere when they no longer have the floor pans there to keep them in place, so support them however you can figure out. The angle iron bracing is easier to cut back out after then it is to relocate a frame rail!! You also may want to get your hands on a copy of the frame measurements to double check the locations before you finish welding the new pans all the way in. You can find the specs in the original Ford shop manual for 1968, in the "body" volume. CD-rom versions of this are usually availible on e-bay. Hop this helped, good luck!!! Mike
