Hello guys well I have decided to pick my up a Bullitt to sit next to my 98 Cobra and I had a few questions concerning the 2...
I found 2 in my area and here are the ads:
$15,500.00 Dark Highland Green 37 k miles new tires synthetic oil changes since new 4:10 gears off road exhaust cold air intake custom tune I have all of the stock parts for the car This car is very clean never eaten or smoked in always garage kept
And the next
$14,500.00 14500oboAbove Added: Mon February 25, 2008, 8:42 pm EST01 mustang bullit, green, #789 car is in excellent condition inside and out,66000 miles, clean car fax, has many performance mods motor has been built turned out about 320 to the rear wheels,
mac longtube headers mac prochamber flowmaster 593 lift competition cams short throw shifter king cobra clutch 28 spline moser axles 410 gears sct programmer a custom program plus a nitrious program. motor is built for nitrous but to my knowledge has never had nitrous on it.
Now #2 is looking real good to me, and I can get both of them down under the price listed. The new moter dropped on #2 has under 30,000 miles on it and is still a 2v. He says it has never used nitrous, but it has a program for it. He says it has 'Dumped" exhaust which I dont know what that is..
If i could get some direction here in what would be a good decision, I would appreciate it. Both have clean Carfax reports, both are numbered Bullitts i got pictures of the stickers on the cars. I am looking for something that will have good performance.
Thanks!

# 1 sounds like it was better cared for if i put all those mods on #2 i would want to use them every chance i got. offer 14,500 for # using #2 as your price basis GOOD LUCK

Couple things to consider. With all the mods on the second car, how much abuse has it had. Look at book values on both cars, they are not worth that much. They are going off high book value which is best case scenario, immaculate condition. Even with the mods it wont help value. Nobody but the person that spent the money on the mods can justify their worth. Banks and dealerships will not increase the value of the car for them. I paid 11,000 for my Bullitt 2 years ago and it is in excellent cond. 3-4 grand more can get me alot of mods like a blower that will give it 150 hp more. Something to think about I guess.
A little advice.Never buy a modded car unless you know the real history or the owner.Price on either is too high anyways.Find an unmolested car and mod it your way!
