I have the regular V6 (not a pony package) so like everybody else I have no rear sway bar. I had looked into at least getting a rear sway bar but also possibly a new front one. Looking for advice as where to go on this one. Should I just get both GT takeoff sway bars or just the rear and leave the V6 front sway bar or a whole different route. My car is a daily driver so advice would be appreciated.

What about the FRPP anti-roll setup?

I'm just trying to figure out whether to go with just the GT rear and V6 front OR GT front and a BMR or Stedda or another brand rear. Because the difference between the size of the sway bars is the key factor in the handling from what i hear

I would get a set made for the V6 or GT but wouldn't mix and match the two.  You could order the parts for the PP sway kit from the dealer.  I searched the net for the info when I was shopping for them, and found a real good article on the why's of matching, it made sense, so I followed it.  I have no clue where that article is....

Here is one that I ran across, but I'm not an expert.

Yea when I first thought about it thats what I thought would be best to match them but some people have said that just getting the GT rear and keeping the V6 front will be better but the best option if affordable is to get the GT front and a stedda or bmr rear

I have the v6 front with prothane bushings and the GT rear with prothane bushings.
I plan to install the rear next week along with my FRPP exhaust so for now all I can say is the bushings in front were a noticable imrovement. I think the v6 front with GT rear will work well with the stiffer springs up front and should be fine. If you want the ultimate canyon carver you need to buy a completely matched set up - springs, shocks/struts & swaybars that are developed & tested to work together.

you wont be dissappointed if you get the set of GT takeoffs, the GT front dwarfs the v6 front. and any rear is way better than no rear.i got the GT takeoffs and im really pleased. much tighter handling. totally changes the ride when you decied to push it. the car really sticks hard.

Yea i understand what your saying I am definitely at least going to get the GT rear.  Just wanted to see if anybody had done a test between having GT rear and V6 front VS GT front and rear

i wish i could help you there. i took my front off and replaced it first, and then i test drove it, and i could tell the differnce easily. and then putting on the rear made it a whole other animal.

Yea I hear you I know the rear will make it seem like a whole new car but wanted to know if the front alone helps bc I am def going to get a rear put on

the GT front helps alot. stiffens the ride up quite a bit. its 34mm vs the stock 26, and the biggest aftermarket ive seen is 36. so the GT takeoff is good. no doubt. and as long as youre not planning on making a dedicated track car it should be enough. most people ive heard of get a GT front and an aftermarket back. most say that the rear is the one thats not quite up to par.

and you'll hear some poeple say to get a solid vs. tubular bar. i dont agree with getting a solid one. its all in the geometry. the tubular one should be stronger if youre comparing ones of similar size. and the only downside to the GT is its non-adjustable. but it should be just right as it is for your app.

so gt front and rear is the best affordable way to go for the regular street driver (no racing intended)? i too was thinking of just getting the gt rear but it seems that an even better difference can be felt with both gt takeoffs.

both make a huge difference. like i said a few people dont see the point of going any farther than a GT front, and they say the rear you should get aftermarket. but, i love both of my takeoffs. and it is the most affordable way to go. i was planning on going completely eibach for all of my upgrades, but the performance for the money was better for the GT takeoffs imo. look around for good deals tho. i got mine for 130 shipped, and  ispent about 10 bucks in locknuts and bolts and they were on in half an hour each. then you should go back and tighten them once theyre on after a day or two. cause if they come loose, that wont be a good thing. lol.  like i said i put the GT front on and drove it around for a few miles and came back, and the differnce was unbelievable. and once i got the rear on, it was amazing. holds so much tighter. turns i  could only push about 65-70 in i was pushing 75-80. very nice upgrade. paying 140 total vs 450+shipping around 500 for an eibach set or similar, id get the GT's everytime.

07lane where did you get your takeoffs? I have seen them both for like 160 on newtakeoffs.com but was wondering where you got yours.  Thanks for all the help
