One wheel wonders happen with my 98 thanks to the open diff.

6THATSQUICK -> RE: burnout question... (3/21/2008 6:41:38 AM)

I used to have that problem but not anymore if you want to fix that just go out and buy a t-lok diff trust me its well worth it no more one wheel wonder.

On my 00 V6 it was by back right tire that spun and thats it.

so everyones mustang stock diff spins one wheel 94 up

indisposible_teens -> RE: burnout question... (3/21/2008 8:56:02 AM)

Yes. It has been stated time and time again. The stock V6 from the Ford factories 94+ have an open differential that only allows them to apply power to one rear wheel. To fix this you can get a Ford T-lok or any of the other nicer LSD's and this will let you put power to both wheels.

stang04 -> RE: burnout question... (3/23/2008 8:52:14 PM)

Where would be the best place to get a Differential?

blue stang -> RE: burnout question... (3/24/2008 12:09:06 PM)

If you just want to impress your freinds and dont want to spend the mony:

1. pop the clutch and start the one wheel spin.
2. wile youre roling forward stomp on the brake one time and press the gas all the way down.
3. Have fun!

this takes the weight of the back so the other wheel will start spinning. I did it all the time in high school and every time the kids would come to me and ask me how I did that with an open differential and a V6.

JKs95stang -> RE: burnout question... (3/24/2008 5:42:44 PM)

Just come around on a left turn and drop the clutch, both will spin.  [sm=lol.gif]

ooook....

stang04 -> RE: burnout question... (3/24/2008 8:56:42 PM)

lets say you want to spend the money and buy a differential that would fit a 04 stang

blue stang -> RE: burnout question... (3/25/2008 9:54:34 AM)

I don't know the best place to get them but you can just search for a 7.5" T-lock or True Track. The T-lock is cheaper but the True Track is stronger.

RedStarBelgrade -> RE: burnout question... (3/26/2008 12:05:54 PM)

And how about V6 auto...is it posible to do burnout and how? I never tried but would like to know!

l_shizzle_l -> RE: burnout question... (3/26/2008 9:34:22 PM)

for the auto you just press firmly on the brake and then get on the gas(while still pressing the brake).

Manual Mustangs

    1. Depress the clutch, and rev the engine.
    2. In one quick motion, "dump" the clutch and press the brake pedal while flooring the gas.

  1. Use a line locker. A line locker is a device that modifies a car so the brake pedal only engages the front brakes. This dangerous and usually illegal device makes burnout on RWD cars easier and more dramatic. A line lock is a solenoid (fancy name for a switch) that gives you some extra buttons in the drivers seat to control your brakes. To do a burn out with a line locker installed:
    1. Step on the brakes.
    2. Push the line lock button.
    3. Release the line lock button leaving your front brakes on and disengaging your back brakes, leaving those wheel free to spin, burn and make smoke.
    4. Push line lock again to release the front brakes and move forward.

  2. Do a donut. A doughnut (donut in the USA) is a circular burnout. To do a donut in RWD cars:
    1. Find a large open area with no other cars, lampposts or other things you can hit. It is easy to loose control of a car with a donut.
    2. Begin driving in slow circles.
    3. Hit the gas hard so that the rear tires begin to loose traction.
    4. You will burn around in a circle.
