Default Can my amps touch each other?

Well the way I want to build my box I will have to mount one of my amps to the back of the box its 2 1/2" tall, then the other to the rear seats its 3 1/2" tall. Is it ok to have my amps touch each other, since thier is no were else to put them? Both amps are like 22" in length, and 12" wide? any other ideas?

If they touch they will explode!

JK, You need to make sure you have enough airspace to dissipate heat, but touching amps shouldn't be a problem.

Don't cross the beams!!!

Won't cause a problem, but in general, it's not a good idea to mount the amps directly to the box. Especially since you want to mount some heavy duty subs there. (At least from what I've read on the other threads)

Couple quick snips of your wires and out the thief goes with all of your system though. Plus no amplifier likes alot of constant vibrations... Main reasons not to mount an amp to the enclosure.

Thats why I installed a pager alarm system in my car. I have no were else to put my two amps. they are both huge older amps. I want my sub box in the back 1/4 of the trunk so it only leaves like 5 inches in the back to mount one to the rear seat, and other to back of box. I'm still having trouble figuring out the box setup I need.
