So basically what you did was the exact opposite of a ricer flyby? This time it was the V8 doing the flyby to a four banger car to show it up.... Interesting....

You can't say that you'd automatically  beat him in a race on that comparison, he probably wasn't in his powerband as you blew by him.

how do you know the Sentra was stock? I've seen first hand Sentras giving a Mustang a run for it's 281. Pushing 350 hp in a lighter body. Get my drift?

Yeah if you drive a GT bro. Especially an SN95 GT.  Sentras are fodder just like Civics and most other front drivers from other cars. If one will get my respect he will run faster for less money. Thats what impresses me. Other than that, hey not everyone can beat a Viper ya know...

I see more civics than I do sentras...also sentras are faster stock then civics anyway, still isn't worth posting unless the sentra was an 93+ SE-R pushing nitrous or something...the Se-rs are pretty fast.

A lightly modded SE-R Spec V would probably beat a stock 94-98 GT...

Depends on what "lightly modded" means for a 4 banger.  Hopefully more than the 10 horses you get from the 3 foot wing...

An 02 up Spec V puts out 180 torque at 4000 rpm. I had an 04 V for 11 days, and DAYUM...that thing was quick with the tight ass 6 sp and the 175 hp and all... A lightly modified one with I/H/E and cams could put out 220 hp easily.

Even with it's 100 mm bore and low redline, I know 300 hp isn't far off. Hell it's already been done with the new QR25DE.

The Vs run low to mid 15s from the factory. It's just a question of if you want to spend the extra 7k to get Mustang GT times for Mustang GT prices, which I hope we all know is possible....

funny how everyone compares their lesser cars to sixers or SN95's...maybe because they suck and are a huge point of weakness in mustang history...

sentras are ok...but id go for a maxima over them any day

What you mean the Mustangs of the 60s weren't weak? Wow... a muscle car that runs 15s. I'm impressed...

Anyway...Maximas are tight. get the 3.5 V6 with 265 hp and the 5 speed...hot damn you got yourself a tight lookin sleeper.

well depends on which ones you mean...the ones intended for girls (200 I6's 289's) or the ones intended for men (boss 302 mach 1 etc).

and what the f**k does it really matter?  point is people need to compare their cars to something worth half a s**t

boss 302s I can give props too. but it was still rather slow compared to any Chevy with a 427.

I compare my car to SN95 GTs because that was what was made when my car was made.  I have a '94 GS-R, so I compare my car to '94 GTs.

I've got a question...what was Ford smoking in 94 when they produced the GT, and it was actually FASTER than the cobra?? Although not by much, but the Cobra shouldn't be that slow compared to the lesser model.

Year Model 0-60 1/4 mile

1994   Ford Mustang Cobra                      6.9           15.3
1994   Ford Mustang GT                         6.7           15.1
1995   Ford Mustang 3.8                        9.9           17.3

and what the hell did they do to the Cobra to make the 93 so much faster than the 94??

Year Model 0-60 1/4 mile

1993   Ford Mustang Cobra                      5.9           14.5
1994   Ford Mustang Cobra                      6.9           15.3
