yes, that's pretty much exactly what the car calls for. you could actually go wider on the tires if you wanted being you have a 9" wide wheel. You could do a 275 35 18. Its the same diameter as the 245 40 18 but about an inch wider which should improve your handling due to the wider contact patch. Your bolt pattern is exact you rim width is fine, your rim size is fine, your tire sizes is fine but could be wider if you want and your offset is dead in the range that the car calls for. the only other thing you need to worry about is center bore. Thats the opening in the middle of the rim that slides over the cars hub to keep it centered on the car. Most people think that lug nuts do this but its not true. a lug nut is there to hold the rim and tire on the car, but the weight of the car rides on the hub. Your centerbore needs to be 70.6mm or 2.788". it can be larger and you will just need to get the correct hub rings to keep the wheel center properly on the hub to avoid vibration. Most places just through in the hub rings for free since they are so inexpensive. I know we do. They cost us about $8 a set on average so we dont charge for them. If your center bore on the wheel is smaller than 70.6mm you still can use them, you will just need to find a machine shop to bore them out, but about 99.9% of rims that are for mustangs which these seem to be made for them are bored 70.6 or larger. So you should not have to worry about having rims with a smaller bore. If you need rims or tiers thats what we do.
