Getting pulled over is just a given.. depending on the area you live in.
When I had my 96 Vette, I was always getting pulled over. I think just because you drive a "Hot" car the cops assume you're going to do something wrong so they follow you watcing for you to do something wrong.
I got a ticke for "Improper Stop" at a stop sign... WTF!... I didn't run the stop sign.. and I did stop... I guess the cop just didn't like HOW I stopped!
Another for "Improper Lane Usage".... he said I pulled into a left hand turn too early and too quickly.
The rest of the time they just wanted to see if they could give me a ticket for not having my insurance card (busted me twice on that because I would accidently drop it between the seat and the console haveing to continually dig it out for the cops... OR they pull you over to look at the car but didn't want to say "Hey, I just pulled you over because I want to look at your car!".

I'm hoping to get my GT in Jan or Feb of next year, I can see myself getting pulled over quite a bit. I'm going to tint the windows too, so that'll probably be another reason for the cops to pull me over.
I've been kinda noided lately at the amount of cops that end up drop jawed staring at my car...
In the past whenever the po-po has looked at me like that, it meant I was about to be arrested for something...
I guess I enjoy the appreciation of the stare... much better than being locked up... :)
And no, I haven't been pulled over yet... there were a few times I should have been... but I'm guessing the cop was either too busy looking at my car to care... or the cop was being a nice guy and figured the car was new and I was just getting used too it
(Yes, we actually have some nice cops round here) I once got stopped for having 3 inches of ice on the rear window of a Nova I used to own... the cops were VERY nice, scraped my window for me and told me to have a nice day... I was shocked...
1st ticket was speeding... 83 in a 65 on the NYS Thruway. I was going with the traffic flow I swear.
The other ticket was Saturday night. 200 feet from my driveway. He said I took the corner too fast and wrote me a ticket for - get this - "Inprudent speed"
All I did was accelerate from first to second. Did not break the 30 MPH speed limit... it's a residential neighborhood.
I have a jeep and a motorcycle as well and I don't get noticed in either. Besides the tickets I get a lot of cops follow me when I'm on the highway. Just annoying.
Maybe I should buy a flatbed, throw the Mustang on it, and drive the package around on the back of my Jeep.
Whats Po Po? is that a shortened term for the word start with "P" and ending with double "OO" ? Getting the looks over with thumbs up with my GT, had one see me pull into a car wash, he did u-turn just to cme by and chat to check it out, said his wife wanted one.
First Incident - i got pulled over the night i bought the car. i was scared ****less b/c i dont need my insurance to go up any more. turns out that all he wanted to was to check out my car. this was way back in the beginning of november though so there wasnt really any new mustangs on the road here. he let me go and asked me to get on it a little bit when i was getting back on the highway.
Second Incident - I have court in two days for my first actual ticket in the stang. 85 in a 60. Wouldnt really say that the cops are paying TOO much attention to my car anymore b/c i am sure that they would have pulled over a Yugo for going 25 over the limit too.

Sounds like harassment to me. It's a f*ing sports car, it can take corners safely at faster speeds than a pick-up truck. How old are you? If it wasn't for the first ticket, you'd probably get out of it easily.

I'm an adult... almost 40. I feel like a teenager with all this harassment. I got the tickets in different municipalities and I can afford and do have a great lawyer... so I can get out of both of them.
I can't believe a cop gave a 40 yo a ticket for "Inprudent Speed." That's BS!!! Especially on a turn. If you were doing brake stands, I would understand. Did you get loose on the turn?
Oh come on, BE NICE. I have the same Legend Lime GT. I love it- this is why the Mustang is available in an array of colors. To answer the question though, I have not gotten a ticket- yet. I am trying very hard not to, going as far as driving the speed LIMIT to avoid one. I never had to do that in my Taurus

Dude I got the same stuff. 60 in a 35. I wasn't goin that fast. I know because I was in 3rd gear. The asshole just jacked up the speed so I couldn't go to traffic school. I lawyered up and he's goin down. I would flip if some cop pulled me because he wanted to "check my car out" I would get his badge number and turn his ass in for wasting my time and giving me a heart attack.
