As a recommendation for those that need to get their speed fix check out a road course. Most tracks have some sort of open lapping sessions. For $200 or less you can spend the day at a track going as fast as you can with no worries about tickets or cross traffic. Most are set up with controlled passing (only on straights with a point by) there are corner marshals to warn of dangers around blind bends, etc. Most programs have an instructor assigned to each driver, to give them advice and help keep everyone safe. I have seen a huge range of vehicles participate from race prepared Ferraris to rental car sedans. Most tracks will require verts to have roll bars. Very little prep is required.

These events are a great way to test your car and your driving abilities and much safer than doing 100mph+ on public roads, not to mention cheaper than most speeding tickets.

oh jesus haha, it wasnt a school bus "zone" or anything, the road i did it on was about 25miles out of town on the outskirts, was about 5:30 at night, school gets out at 2pm, and in my town the drivers take the busses home at night, no kids on it haha he was just goin home,a nd the only reason i slowed down was becuase it was on a blind turn and i didnt wanna end up splattered on the cheeseway, everyone speeds on that road, my best friend is a copher eand he's clocked guys in 550 marinello's doinig about 165 -170 on that road haha, not a small road , 4 lanes, sraightaways for about 5 miles long each.....nothing dangerous haha

Very Very lucky that i work for the Police Department. Been pulled over more than 5 or 6 times since April and no tickets so far. It's great pull out the line and i'm off. Being in the club is great if you ask me hehe. By the way i hope you all pray for a fallen officer that was killed in Saint Louis two days ago. Sad news and i pray for his family.

Maybe you need to slow down? 90 in a 45? wow...

So to sum up, you had the car 10 days, had a speeding ticket, an unlawful speeding ticket, and then you wrecked it.

Are you in a hurry to get someplace all the time?

DAMN IT!!! I got flashed on my way back from France this weekend. I was going about 50KPH over the posted speed limit of 100kph. I hope they aren't able to track my German/American plates. That's like a €250 fine and 30 day license suppension. :(

Another reason I hate France. I am use to the unrestricted speeds of Germany and when I goto their gay country they have low ass speed limits on the highways.... :(

Got my first speeding ticket in the Mustang on 4th of July weekend. I should've known better than to speed on that weekend, but I can't help it. Everyone else was speeding also, but they just wanted to pull me over and look at my car :o) They got me at 86, so I am hoping they are not charging me 2 points on my license. Traffic school here I come!

I had my first run-in with the law this past Saturday. The cop pulled me over for going 46 in a 30 or 35 (I don't know which). He decided not to give me a ticket. He said, "This is not a low-profile car and I know it is hard to keep off the gas". He liked the car and decided to be nice. I was quite thankful.

I've been lucky.

The only cops to bother me were at the Quik Trip in the morning when I stop get get my coffee. They wanted to oogle my car and quiz me how it compared to the BMW that I had.

I haven't gotten pulled over.. but I sure get eyeballed when I pass a county cop. (Yes... if the speed limit is 55... I will go 55 even though the cop is only doing 52... some people seem scared to pass a cop!)

I wait until I am WAY out in the middle of nowhere before I "Hit it"! and then only if I am fealing 98% self confident it is "safe" to do so regarding cops and hazards.

I won't get off on my rant here... but the ONLY time you'll ever see a cop in Alabama doing the speed limit or less is if he/she
is on their way TO work. Otherwise..... 10 - 20 over is the norm for them. "Citizens aRREst! Citizens aRREst!" (Gomer Pile)
Grrr!

Are you sporting "middle-eastern" facial features or carrying a RPG launcher in the back seat? Throwing single-finger salutes?
I try to slow down while passing doughnut shops. The next time you get pulled over, try crying. The cop may give you a break or get grossed-out and leave. LOL
Seriously, I would have thought that color to be "stealthy", way better than the bright colors that are meant to attract attention.

Wldstng is too right. I'm from bama and we have lots of unmarked cars; crown-vics, chevy 15 passenger vans and others, zooming along. All with radar and 3-7 antenna blowing in the slipstream!

Anyone remember back in the late mid to late 80's out here in California when the Highway Patrol had Mustang GT 5.0's for their street patrol people? Those cars sold like hotcakes when they went on auction. I think they had more horsepower than a stock GT. Remember?

This bring back any memories? I thought it was someone playing a joke but no, it was used by an actual CHiP! It was at the CHP booth for public relations, along with a wrecked Mustang they had on the back of a trailer. All to raise awareness of illegal street racing.
