I got mine about three weeks ago. The day i brought Her home a motorcycle cop stopped in front of my house and walked up "just to check it out". He gave me a speeding ticket for 9mpi over a week later 1/2mi from my house.

Wow, that makes it so easy to fight it in court. Even mention getting a restraining order on the guy, and charges against PD.

Almost 10,000 cop free miles. Years ago I had an ugly white 74 Mazda
RX-4. A few go fast mods like headers, Holley 750DP, bridge port, Racing Beat intake, etc. I drove that car like I stole it and got pulled over once for speeding in maybe 6 years I had that car. Then in '85 I purchased a brand new Red Mazda RX-7. I babied that car and got pulled over 3 times the first month I had it.

I have friends that are officers and I know there are a few on here... but I do have a peeve (and yes, I've told them too!)
In Alabama the law says (or said - remember I was in EMS) that even cops can't speed unless they are running lights and I think sirens(?) and then only up to 10 mph over the limit unless in pursuit (such as a runner). YET every day I have State Troopers, local city cops and deputies (who are the worse!) FLY by me. I watched a city cop (from a city where they give more tickets per capita than probably any other in the Southeast) run a red light (out of district - so he wasn't running silent!). If our cars had been reversed in HIS jurisdiction - he'd have pulled me over and rightfully so. Deputies (I used to ride along some) fly everywhere. 80 mph down a country road just going from one place to another. My biggest pet peeve is one that will turn on his/her lights JUST to get through traffic. Is there still such a thing as Citizens Arrest? Because if I ever do get pulled over - I'll make it my mission to ride around and "arrest" cops who break the law. I bet you I could write at least 5 tickets per week without going out of my way.

Oh come on, BE NICE. I have the same Legend Lime GT. I love it- this is why the Mustang is available in an array of colors. To answer the question though, I have not gotten a ticket- yet. I am trying very hard not to, going as far as driving the speed LIMIT to avoid one. I never had to do that in my Taurus

red gets pulled over more frequently because red returns more radar signal than any other color. i was pulled over many time in my red 94GT when other cars were running away from me. i had ran from st louis to 40 miles south of nashville @78 mph on cruise and it showed 82 on the radar.

I'm not arguing but if a cop pulls you over because your red car was easier to read than the blue mercury passing you we've got a stupid cop on our hands. Red gets pulled over because it's a red sports car. My red Tahoe NEVER got pulled over. I actually drove slower BECAUSE I was in a sports car and knew there was "prejudice". (wishing I had gotten whatever returns the LEAST signal).

Troopers around Nashville don't seem to cut much slack for anyone. Illinois (I-57?) sucks too. I don't believe you'd have gotten pulled over doing 78 in a 70 in Alabama unless you are on I-65 around Cullman.

My sister-in-law got a TICKET for doing 5 miles under the speed limit (65 in a 70) in B'ham! She was told she was 'impairing traffic flow'. She was in the right lane and actually within a mile of her exit. Needless to say, she went to court and won. The Judge even laughed at the cop!

I got pulled over a week ago for crossing a double yellow line. No ticket though, just a warning.

The cop said he would have given me a ticket if my car had been red. j/k.

Maybe you need to slow down? 90 in a 45? wow...

So to sum up, you had the car 10 days, had a speeding ticket, an unlawful speeding ticket, and then you wrecked it.

Are you in a hurry to get someplace all the time?

You might consider slowing down a bit, reckon? Appears you have gotten a couple of
"HEY! WAKE UP!" calls from the Man Upstairs...

If you could demonstrate a correlation between light wave absorbtion (color) and RF reflectivity you'd probably win a Nobel Prize.

They are utterly unrelated.

Just remember that a radar jammer, if you are caught with it, is actually an FCC violation, making it a Federal charge, not a local one.

Using an actual transmitting radar jammer in any state is NOT legal. It may not be illegal to posses one, but using one is a different matter...

And 100+ in a zone where there are school buses? Good job, you are helping everyone else's insurance rates increase. Thats the kind of driving that gives us all a bad name and can land you in jail. It is reckless and completely irresponsible. I can't believe your actually bragging about it.

Dude - I'm calling "B.S.". Sorry, but you would have been pulled over for wreckless driving at the VERY least. If you plan to keep driving like that - ESPECIALLY anywhere near a school bus - I hope you lose your license - SOON! I'm a nice guy but as far as I'm concerned - don't let the door hit you in the arse on the way out.
