I have a 1989 convertible that dont go up or down. I checked the fuse in the fuse box and it was good.I used a multimeter to check the circuit breaker with the ignition in the "ON " postion and still had no power. I removed the back seat and hard wired the convertible motor and the top went up and down, so therfor I know the motor is good. When I press the convertible button a I dont hear anything "No relay or motor noise". I removed the convertible switch and check for constant power "12 volts" and I had nothing. I also replaced the switch with a new one . I know the two relays in the back by the motor only control the top to go up and down, but my top dont do either. Is it possible that both relays burnt in one shot, or is there a fusiblelink in the motor compartment. Dont forget that my car is a 1989 and dont have a breaker or fuse box in the engine compartment. Hi thrty5thsc, Thanks for the reply. I already replaced the switch with a new one, but no luck. I was wondering if there is a fusiblelink in the engine compartment. Thanks

FIXED. Ran new power wire from hazard switch to convertible switch. The wire from the fuse box to the switch had a short.
