Hi,

I am about to replace my old and cracked steering wheel and I love the grant design. I saw a black one once and loved it. I actualy have never seen the wood one yet...

Which one would you pick?

Thanks! (still 14 days to wait until I get the car back with rebuilt engine and T5 )

For just a little bit more coin you can get a nice repop of the deluxe 65-66 wooden Mustang wheel.  Light years ahead of the Grants.  I had that exact wheel in my fastback for years but I am MUCH happier with the repop deluxe model.

check the diameters of the wheels. the black one looks smaller and you'll curse it uif you don't have power steering ...

I vote NO Grant.  Grant wheels are historically piles of crap.  The horn assembly is a disaster, and the design hasn't changed in decades.  90% of the people I've talked to that have one are unhappy with it because either the horn fell off or the wiring shorted and they had to disconnect it.

I like the wood as well.  I had black and plan to change to the wood.  I like the one retro77 posted more.

I like those, keep in mind the kind of driving you are going to do. For track use, I like the grant.

I have a couple of Grants. They are a little more comfortable for me as far as driving, especially on the track car. The Moto Lito's are my favorite, looks wise, but feel a little small. The only trouble that I have had with the Grant's is the horn button. I think all aftermarket wheel suppliers could do a better job with those.

I've got black Grant...not the same as pictured above... but my horn has never worked. And I know it is in the horn steering assembly somewhere, I am just not sure how to go about trying to fix it.

I had no idea so many people have had trouble with Grant horns... Ouch.
FWIW, if you have a black interior like mine, black definitely looks better.
