Hi,

I am about to replace my old and cracked steering wheel and I love the grant design. I saw a black one once and loved it. I actualy have never seen the wood one yet...

Which one would you pick?

Thanks! (still 14 days to wait until I get the car back with rebuilt engine and T5 :))

For just a little bit more coin you can get a nice repop of the deluxe 65-66 wooden Mustang wheel. Light years ahead of the Grants. I had that exact wheel in my fastback for years but I am MUCH happier with the repop deluxe model.

check the diameters of the wheels. the black one looks smaller and you'll curse it uif you don't have power steering ...

What color is your interior?

I vote NO Grant. Grant wheels are historically piles of crap. The horn assembly is a disaster, and the design hasn't changed in decades. 90% of the people I've talked to that have one are unhappy with it because either the horn fell off or the wiring shorted and they had to disconnect it.

i vote neither... if you HAD to chose one, go wih the top one. but you can find a lot nicer grant ones out there

I like the wood as well. I had black and plan to change to the wood. I like the one retro77 posted more.

I like those, keep in mind the kind of driving you are going to do. For track use, I like the grant.

I have a couple of Grants. They are a little more comfortable for me as far as driving, especially on the track car.The Moto Lito's are my favorite, looks wise, but feel a little small. The only trouble that I have had with the Grant's is the horn button. I think all aftermarket wheel suppliers could do a better job with those.

I've got black Grant...not the same as pictured above... but my horn has never worked. And I know it is in the horn steering assembly somewhere, I am just not sure how to go about trying to fix it.

I had no idea so many people have had trouble with Grant horns... Ouch.
FWIW, if you have a black interior like mine, black definitely looks better.
