What's the Difference...?!

RedStarBelgrade -> What's the Difference...?! (3/3/2008 8:32:02 AM)

Between t3 twin entry turbine and regular t4, and which one would be better for a V6....I got the first one tho, and I'm not changing it, unless there's some major difference!

Unforgivine -> RE: What's the Difference...?! (3/3/2008 8:43:00 AM)

were did you get it from

RedStarBelgrade -> RE: What's the Difference...?! (3/3/2008 9:00:46 AM)

I got it on ebay, but first i asked the guy thats gonna put my kit together and he said it was good!

VCS_SSSTANG -> RE: What's the Difference...?! (3/3/2008 9:40:11 AM)

If you bought one of thsoe ebay JUNK turbos please sell it....

And if the guy BUILDING your kit told you to get an ebay JUNK turbo I wouldn't let him touch my car...

RedStarBelgrade -> RE: What's the Difference...?! (3/3/2008 12:22:06 PM)

Ok man, if you say Andy from TMA doesn't know what's a good turbo thats fine! I bought what I could afford at the time, I know it's not the best but I don't think it's a junk like you said!
It's something like this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&viewitem=&item=260180862020

Is it a complete junk or it could work?

VCS_SSSTANG -> RE: What's the Difference...?! (3/3/2008 12:59:45 PM)

Junk...
I'm suprized Mr. L didn't tell you that himself.

When it comes a part and sends metal into your upper intake mainfold and causes your engine to go kaboom you'll wish you would have bought a garrett/precision/turbonetics.

RedStarBelgrade -> RE: What's the Difference...?! (3/3/2008 7:25:31 PM)

Damn man you realy love to bring people down. As I said that was all I could get, and I'm planning to keep it for a year or so. If it breaks the engine for a year than I'm going to set the whole car on fire and burn it down, and never ever go turbo again!
p.s. I'll post some pics if I realy burn it![:D]

Sorry I would rather inform you of the ignornat choice than let you ruin your car.
Procede to project epic fail.

No it's ok man....I appreciate you being honest, thats why I asked. But I just don't think everything is as bad as you are saying. Do you think all those people out there use garret, precision or turbonetics turbos....offcourse not. I'm not saying they don't want them but they are very expensive, even used ones. If I could find any for the price I paid for this one I would've gotten it. However, I hope nothing break with this one for at least a year!

Anybody who is serious about making horsepower knows.

Reliable horsepower doesn't come cheap
cheap horsepower isn't reliable

LilRoush -> RE: What's the Difference...?! (3/3/2008 10:43:49 PM)

Wait, what did Andy tell you to get? A pair of T3s or a T3 off of ebay?

RedStarBelgrade -> RE: What's the Difference...?! (3/4/2008 8:24:04 AM)

Here is what Andy said.....quote "...I seen people had some good results and some had bad.
And the internet spreads like a plague once someone said they had a bad expierence with that turbo then everybody will hop on the bandwaggon and call it junk.  Honestly you just sometimes gota try it out for yourself.  I don't think its bad as what someone say it is." However, the friend of mine has a new turbo which he got for his Mazda and never used it. He said he'll give me the turbo for free. He's in Detroit now so I'll just wait for him....that one might be better! Since he is spoiled as spoiled can get I hope it's one of these brand names![;)]

LilRoush -> RE: What's the Difference...?! (3/4/2008 11:07:49 AM)

Make sure you are using the right size compressor for your car. A single T3 won't do crap for you, you'll need something larger or a pair of them.

Unforgivine -> RE: What's the Difference...?! (3/6/2008 9:21:20 AM)

You can find some good turbos off of ebay some guys just like to play for name brand. I have friends that bought some off of ebay and took it to a machine shop here to have them clean it and inspect it works fine to this day

really?  so nitrous and methanol injection isn't reliable?  i ran my meth for awhile and never had a problem.  only reason i got rid of it was because it wasn't doing squat when i got to 17psi, let alone the 20psi i'm at now.  for your basic 8-12psi, it rocks!

That sounds good, but I've never heard of that. Where do you take it (what kind of machine shop) to get it cleaned and inspected?
