Default New Mickey Thompson 305/45/18 Drag radial

Now that these are finally released has anyone bought a set?
I would like to get a pair for my 18" Boyds to use on the street.
These should be the perfect size I am looking for witha 28.8" height.
I found some on Ebay with free shipping and discounted price.
I was wondering of anyone had them on their car yet?

My 2007 GT/CS came stock with 235/50/ZR18 tires. I'm wondering if those will even fit ! And I don'tknow ifits a good idea to mix differentradials front and back for highway use? What do ya think?

Those are very tall, more than an inch and a half taller than stock. If they do fit, it might be a little squirrely on the road around corners. Those tires also like to follow grooves in the road. I don't recommend those for daily driving. I drove to and from the track on my 275/40/17's last year, it got a little hairy at times. If you want a drag radial to drive on the road, I'd recommend Nitto's of BFG's

That's not an issue!

You can never have too much power, just not enough traction.

Those are drag radials you dont want to drive with them in the rain thats for sure...I had to buy 17" rims for my car with M&H 275/50/r17 becouse no one makes a drag radial for are car that well fit.

I know they are drag radials. Myvert is a just a weekend toy, it has never seen rain. I dont want Nittos because they suck for traction compared to M/T drag radials.
So did anyone buy the new 305 0r 345 size 18" drag radials from M/T?

I am trying to decide between these:

3786r 28.8" height, 10" width 305/45/18
or
3785r 26.2" height, 12.8" width 305/35/15

they have a 3788r 27" height width 13.5" 345/35/18
it wont fit on my 10" rim. If it did it would be perfect.

The 3785r will not be out until April 1 but the other two are avaialble now.
I am considering the taller tire to reduce my gear ratio on the street for better traction. I would prefer the wider tread though, so I may wait for the 3785r which is a little shorter but much wider.
I run 17" bullet rims with ET Streets at the track so this is just a street setup.

The 15" will be really short and the 18" will be really tall. I think matswpa844 has the right idea. I am expecting delivery of those exact tires in a couple of days. They've had great reviews and are the closest to our stock size that I've seen in a drag radial.

I have BFGs now and I've been looking for something with more sidewall for the 18" tires. The MTs will be my next purchase unless BFG comes out with a more choices for us with 18" wheels.

A 28.8" tall tires will fit fine at a stock ride height. I have a few pics of some mounted on my comp.

I plan on running oversize tires as well when I get new wheels to, one eat up that gap in the rear, as well as make 1rst gear more useful.
