Default What's the best way to remove Pony Package spoiler???

I want to remove stock Pony Package spolier and replace it with GT wing spoiler. I know there are four bolts to remove, but what's the best way to remove spolier from the double-sided tape that's stuck to the trunk lid? What's the best way to do this?

Also, what can I use if there's lots of residue from the adhesive left behind on the paint? I've heard that the tape can be pretty tough to deal with, so what are some tips so I can use to remove the spoiler easliy enough without damaging paint? Thanks...

I'd like to know this myself - I plan to switch to the GT500 spoiler.

Once the bolts are out, use fishing line to saw through the double-sided tape. Then use isopropol alcohol to remove any sticky residue or sticky tape. I've read that some people use goo-gone for this also.

Use BRAIDED Kevlarfishing line.
And roll the remaining tape off
with your thumb and goo-gone.

take the four bolts off, spray alot of goo gone to losen up the tape and then use fishing line to cut through. once you've got the spoiler off your going to have alot of black residue left on the trunk, use more goo gone to take that off. a plastic ruler works really well if you have one.

I know most people suggest fishing line, but I've also heard others say that you could use dental floss. Maybe waxed dental floss could work just as well. Any one try this method?

I know this'll sound stupid, but living in the concrete jungle that is LA, I don't even where I could buy fishing line. Do they sell it in places like Big-5 and SportMart?
