I don't like the way they designed the fuel door. The gas cap isn't even key locking.

None of the stangs are. For that matter MOST cars these days aren't....

If they want in there they will figure out a way. At least all we will lose is some gas. Some a$$ used a big screwdriver once to pop open the fuel door on my T-bird. $10 in gas, and $300 in paint/body work.

I'm more worried about some jacka$$ might put something into the tank (eg. sugar), and as well as, steal gas. Especially, when gas prices are hiking up.

Don't make anyone mad

Most newer cars (not sure about the 'stang) have a baffle in the tank below the filler neck that prevents a tube from being run down into the tank for siphoning. I'm not sure if that's why the baffle is there, it may actually be to prevent gas from splashing up the tube if the tank is full.

An alternative is to use a locking gas cap. There is a combination gas cap available that even has the ability to store a spare key inside the gas cap.

In either event, if someone wants it, they're going to get it. The locking gas caps will only deter them slightly. The combination lock only has three digits.
