Group,

I just bought an Airaid CAI for my 07 V6 mustang. I haven't installed it yet but I would like opinions on if I need to reflash/mt computer? When i purchaed it they said it was not needed so why should I spend the extra$$$?

Thanks

Sam

you dont need it with your cai but if you want to take FULL advantage of your mod, a tune will do the trick. especially a custom tune.

A CAI that does not require a tune.... Does that do anything?
I'm not trying to be a wise guy either.

if you mean if you'll get a boost without a tune, yes. about 8hp or even 12 with an aFe. the biggest difference will be the throttle response. a tune will further take advantage of the increased volume of air and you should feel a difference throughout the whole rpm band. this was my experience with my old AEM intake. the C&L only further increased the performance. wasnt much more than my AEM but enough to notice.

you can just get the tuner and let justin@vmp know which intake you have. if you want to feel a BIG difference, swap your dyflow filter with a oil cotton cone filter. back when i still had my AEM installed, i swapped the dryflow with a s&b powerstack top style filter and the difference was VERY noticeable. i got mine for $50.
