OK. with 5200 miles on her...I decided to let her rip today!!! I was on a certain strip of road, where the heat can't hide...and took her up to 135 mph.

It was sweet.. The 05 Gt, sure seems sound at speed. There was more left , but I ran out of heat free road...so I let off.

Don't think I will press it that hard again soon... I can't believe I have this many high speed miles...ticket free, LOL

The hood on an 05 ...sure looks like it wants to lift off at speed !!! It was really raising up on the driver's side.

hum... i bet those extractors on the gt500 and some aftermarket hoods will help witht that.

I did about 142 - 143 on mine and couldn't go any faster. The car was sound and stable. The only thing that worried me was the damn hood, it looked like it was going to fly of the car. Once I was going over the Howard Franklan Bridge here in Tampa in a really windy day and I was doing maybe 65MPH, the hood popped open!!! The hood latch held it from flying open. I took it to the dealer but they couldn't find anything wrong. They told me that maybe it wasn't closed all the way. The last time I opened the hood was 4 days before the incident. Maybe I should invest on some functional hood pins just in case.

ow well i drive my 05 GT everyday to the college 160 MPH.. well after that the speed limter locks.. [:@]... anyways.. iam getting a DiabloSport Predator soon and ill unlock the speed limter
