Also, is there a way to tell if you have an aftermarket Torque Converter without pulling the tranny? And if so, how do you guesstimate the stall speed? Thanks.
I don't beleive there is away to tell because of the way the bell is on the mustang (well at least my bell is almost completely closed).

Wouldn't reaching you're peak Horsepower at a lower rpm be an advantage
My answer would be not if you don't have the torque to go along with it. With max horse power being reached at higher RPM it gives you a bigger gap for overall top speed (if that makes since).

About how much horsepower can I expect to gain with a decent set of heads?
Like nineteen66mustang said it is an excellent way to gain horsepower, but it also has to be done right. when swapping parts you may come to find that certain things are not as easily interchangeable as swapping parts straight off. Be careful and plan out a build that would be my advice.
On a side note you may want to change the name of this topic by editing your first post to something like.... More questions at the end of the argument regarding my car, not the race.... or something of that nature.... sorry about high jacking your original post... looking back it was kinda my fault...
Getting bodywork done/getting it painted here soon (hopefully) I have it down to two colors... Option 1: Vintage burgundy Option 2: Midnight blue with metal fleck ( the GM color from the early 70's I think) Opinions wanted! what do you think? Which do you like better?
I would say paint is all personal preference. Once you have it narrowed down, it should be your choice...
That said, I would prolly pick the blue cuz it would stand out more, but I also dont know what the color you are looking at is. google images didnt help.
Yea it is extremly hard to find.. I am not sure if that is its "real" name or not. All I know is that is what my dad calls it, and from the pics of his 72 nova with it, its pretty much the darkest blue you can imagine with a "sparkle" to it.
