$1343.00 worth of damage - bumper had to be replaced and trunk wouldn't close.  all in all damage was minor.  They are putting a GT bumper back on it for me so I can dual out the exhaust - no cost difference!

wil do!   How do you like your K & N CAI?   I have the K & N drop in filter, but I've been considering the CAI especially if/when I get the exhause dualed out...

picked it up yesterday from the body shop and they f'd up the paint matching.  It'll be going back on Monday.  I swear it looks like they painted it in oxford white instead of performance white.

Sorry to hear that man.  I hate body shops although i've never been to one and try my hardest to stay aways from them.  It will never look as good as the paint from the factory.  Only guy I will ever goto is a guy that did my buddies TA, in Marysville, OH.  Looks amazing, that's my Lightning I just sold in the back.

Your best bet would of been to get one of the take off bumpers...  Good luck with the rest of it though.

ok...so after a couple of days I looked at it in the sunlight last Sunday and it didn't seem as bad.   I took it back Monday morning and went over it with the body shop manager.  Did I mention that I work part time in the sales dept at this dealership?  Anyway, their body shop has repaired my Explorer twice in the last 3 years for minor stuff and they have always done a great job.   So we went over the Mustang and he explained that there are several factors to consider - plastic vs metal parts, new paint vs 3 y/o paint, etc.  and that in a few months it will look much closer, but the color was definately the correct performance white color...So we're cool now...

glad things are turning out for the better for you

make sure you get those duals quick! i might imagine it looks very odd because one of the wholes in the bumper is missing a muffler.
be sure to get pics up asap!!!

Hmm....about as odd as the V6 Charger driving around with a cut out for duals.

actually, unless you really look closely you can't really tell there is not a pipe on the left.   I may end up doing a dummy pipe to match my right side as I'm not convinced there are anything but cosmetic benefits to the dual on the 4.0

Haha yea that is really bad on black cars.  But I was leaning more towards matching.

Man I would go duals, especially since you already got everything ready for them. I know our cars arent the V8 mustangs but still they are Mustangs and that means they are muscle cars at heart so what is a muscle car without sounding like one. Another thing is that they look good and no matter what everybody (single exhaust lovers) say you will gain horses with duals

If you look carefully, you'll notice that our bumpers match are slightly off with the rest of the car, except for black cars.
    Just the way it is...

Worst cars are Camrys for some reasons.
