Here's a kill story for you for you:

Sunday my cousin put a 65mm TB on his car (P&P E7's, Explorer Intake, Full exhaust, TKO). We took it for a drive to check it out. We were on the freeway when a brand new SS rolled up, still had the dealer plates. So my cousin downshifts to 3rd and when it comes even and jumps to get the guy to race. It's a guy driving and his g/f in the passenger seat. The guy looks over at us, turns to his g/f and says something, and they both start laughing. He looks at us and smirks like he thinks he's hot sh*t, but he downshifted. He hit it, and my cousin was ready and hit it a split second after he did. By the end of 3rd (with 2.73's) we had a car and a half to 115-120, where we started slowing down cuz the freeway was ending. At the stoplight there's a double turn lane, he got the inside, we got the outside. When he pulled up, we looked at him and laughed. That pissed him off. When the light turned green, he took off pretty fast around the turn, my cousin kept up with him, and when it got *almost* straight he hit as did the SS. Car broke sideways, straightened out, and we got a car and a half thru 1st and 2nd. Came to another stoplight, he pulled up, and we laughed at him again. He was so pissed, he wouldn't even look at us and his g/f was flipping us off. That made us laugh even harder. We were haven so much fun laughing at the guy that my cousin wasn't really paying attention, the light turned green, and the guy dropped it, smoked the tires. We floored it at idle, but because he was spinning, us bogging wasn't hurting us by more than half a car. It was cool the way we launched (or didn't launch), because you could feel the car pull more and more thru the tach, and as the car started pulling more, the faster we pulled the SS. This time 2nd gave us about 2 cars, and the guy turned onto a side street behind us. I love LS1 kills.

Im a little confused, what kind of car was that your cousin was driving, and what kind of work was done. Otherwise Con-grads on the kill...another one bites the dust

let him get those mods and he will keep up. If his car was bone stock and you had those mods i hope you would be able to beat him.

That's also a 5.7L all aluminum block running 10.8:1 compression. He has about a 100hp advantage out of the factory

I like pretty much all american muscle and I like the single turbo supras also...  I love my SS and even more now that it has so so power.

Not enough for most of the fox body mustangs here.  They spray 350+ shots through 351w's and you dont want none of that... They blow engines every 4-6 races and rebuild them for a few hundred bucks.

I on the other hand cant afford to blow my engine b/c it will cost a lot more than a few hundered to rebuild it.

I pick my races well and still have an undefeated record.  Here the fox bodies are on top b/c there are so many of them.  I have beaten a few that shocked a lot of people so no one knows exactly how quick my car is.

I give the fox bodies props in the power for dollar category.  I would not mind having one to build and play with a little bit.    Lets just say I have a few plans for one.  But Id still rather have my SS.

BTW this is in Florence SC and surrounding areas.

Would have been ALOT better if you were doing it at the track.  Safer, and then you can really see who is the better driver and who has the better car.  From the way it sounds, that guy driving the ss has no skills whatso ever.

I'm glad you didn't race that SS from a light. Your 2.73's would of allowed him to go to his favorite forum and brag about a Mustang Kill ;)

I am wondering how poorly he was drving the thing.  The SS should have been runnin alot better, I guess not everyone can run a shifter. Cool that you kinda punked him for losing, because you know I would do the same to you if you laughed me off at a light.
