On a 74 Ghia Mustang II.

I need to get rid of mine. Its a sad story. But I am gonna end up sinking to much money into this car. The list of repairs is too long to list.

I'm asking 1K on craigslist, am I letting it go to cheap? Or am I about right with the price?

I dont wanna be, I'm growing on this car, and loving it more and more... But i'm only a 19 year old working at a gas station, trying to save money (and have reliable transportation) to work and home.

I'm wanting to find someone who can love her like I do, and maybe even restore her. Its something she diserves.

I really wanna keep her, but I have a list.

Engine (Swap to 302 V8, Fix, or Replace) Up to $3,000
Trannsmittion (Swap to Manuel, Or Replace) $3,000
Shocks (Replace) around $800
Brakes (Replace) around $400
Tires (Replace) around $500

I dont have that kind of money. I wish I did. But I dont.

I dont wanna be a puss. I love these Mustang II's.

Maybe when I get older and richer, I'll buy one agian, cept I'll get a King Cobra or something, something worth dropping money into. you know?

All of that was estimate work. I'm not sure no actuall prices... More then a 19 year old working at a Gas Station can afford.

Engine - Better figure up to $4K for good quality "stuff"
Transmission - $2,000 - friend of mine just swapped to a T-5 in his, 2K - tops
Shocks - DO IT YOURSELF - $120....out the door!
Brakes - just completed mine - NEW CALIPERS/DISCS in front, NEW DRUMS/SHOES in rear $225!
Tires - Original 13" style tires....$250, mounted and balanced!!!!

$6595 - FOR ALL NEW STUFF!!! Used will get you out the door saving a few thousand.

Your $7700 estimate is steep, but the $6600 isn't anything to sneeze at either. If you go used engine and tranny, you could prolly skate by with about 3K to 3.5K!

Yeah... I dont really have cash like that around...

The guy who looked at her though was a Mustang Enthuisest, so she would be in good hands if this guy bought her.

Having a car is never cheap between gas insurance and maintenance. If you think your list is bad the coil packs on the mod motor 98 up are 100 each and you need 8 of them and they only last 100k miles and on a f150 97 up the ball joints are only good for 100k so you can easily spend close to 3 grand having coils and ball joints replaced parts and labor.
