so my car will idle at around 800 and then it will rev up 100 rpm or so and somtime drop. the shop i went to told me it was the aftermarket o2 sensor so i replaced it with a factory one and it still does the same thing. i have a a/f gauge and it spikes from rich to lean when the rpm jump. and thought anything will help thanks

Does this happen all the time or only when cold?

that was one person, dex i believe... one of the sensor wires was broke (or it wasn't connected, can't remember) and it was causing the car to run extremely lean.... that was the story as i recall it..... quote: ORIGINAL: *bmxking* i read omthing on hear about people having probs with cam postioning sensors
