Ford T lock

A buddy of mine had a ford t lock put in his 03 v6. He just got past the breakin period so he did a burn out. It was still only doing a one wheel burnout at first then after about 10 seconds it went to two wheels. The place that installed it told him this was normal saying that the ford t lock clutchs don't engage that quickly. I know on a gt though that you can do a two wheel burnout instally. Does anyone else with a t lock installed have this same problem? It doesn't really seem worth the money if the clutchs don't engage quickly and you still do embarressing one wheel burnouts.

The T lok should engage instantly. It sounds like the break in fluid either wasn't installed or it hasn't been drained and replaced with the correct dif fluid or they are not broken in yet. The only time the T-lok should be disengage is at slow revolution when one wheel is rotating fast then the other (turning a corner from a stop)
My Auburn Possi is so tight that even when I turn a corner from a stop, the tires make a chirp as they pass over the white painted cross walk lines on the road.
Have your friend do a few right turn and left turn burn outs. He should drift pretty good. The go to a parking lot that is black top (the smooth stuff they resurface roads with) and do a straight burn out from a dead stop. Both wheels should spin equally.
