Supercharge the V6, add the GT's anti roll bar, and you prolly have a car that can outrun the GT (for a lower price atm) and can also outhandle it...plus you'd have spent thousands less still.

Hi guys I am new here. I see lots of V6 vs V8 arguments her but I also see lots of meaningfull posts so I decided to join this forum
I got my V6 two months ago and I love it. I went to the local dealership to purchase the GT, and the onlyone they had was an automatic lime colored GT. I wanted to get a Manual Tran GT so the dealer told me I'll have to back order it and wait at least three months.
Anywho I wanted a car now so I test drove the V6 manual tran. and I was gladly suprised. I drove the 04 v6 and I did not like the handling and the power it had but the 05 just felt right, and after four hours of negotiating I left the dealer with my V6
I paid $19,200 for it which was $ 14,000 less than the $33,800 GT price I got quoted by the dealer. which made me make up my mind.
I love both of the cars, but I think the V6 was just to damn good of a deal to pass :)
Anyhow I am doing mods on my V6 now and I am having a blast driving it.
I might get the Cobra, but I'll wait for couple of years before I do that.....
The point being that the V6 has a heritage among the Mustang line. Without it those of us with less means, or want to spend more on a muscle car, would be unable to enjoy the Mustang line, and that could very well have been the downfall of the series. In short, those of you who own a GT have to realize that the V6 has a valuable place in the series. Don't treat it like an embarassment, because it most certaily is NOT that. It's a more powerful car than most...in my mind that makes it muscle (maybe just not muscleBOUND:-P).

the reason that they get **** is, if they wanted gas milage, a good daliy commute, economical transportation then they should get a toyota. the real reason why they got the mustang is because they want the image and the history of the mustang but cant afford/dont want the real deal. so they get the cheaper version with the look but not the grunt, hence poser.
that is one of the lamest responses ever, its people like u that give other gt owners a bad name.

I have no problems with the V6, it is just the drivers who think that the carry the mustang name they have a fast car, and think that they can beat anyone in a race. Dont think your better just becasue you have a V6 Mustang and you know most people just look at the name, because they cant tell the difference. Which is not that hard at all to tell the difference.
But if you get a V6 and is an ok person, then sorry your in that V6 bashing club.
I guess this is like you a hot hot chick and know it and you think you better than anyone, when in fact you could be like Jessica Simpson and.... well we all know.
I love my redfire '05 V6... brought her home exactly one month after my father passed on... driving with his spirit at my side... Finest car I've ever owned... man... gives me chills every time I see 'er. Spirited performance, agile handling, killer looks. The V6 hits my sweet spot. I've got headers and an axle-back exhaust on the way. Cold air intake and a tune will come a bit later down the road.
My first car was a '68 with an inline 6. Lovely thing... candy apple red... added a black vinyl top. Even when it broke down every other weekend, no one ever called it less than a Mustang.
To love and appreciate something (or someone) does not require one to hate another. Keep your arrogance and your tiny horizons that don't shed light past your nose... never keeps me from smilin'
Just remember, my friends...there's always a bigger fish...
Oh...and, I paid her off this week... she's all mine!

Ever hear the expression it's not the gun it's the gunner? I think that is what we are talking about. The V6 may be a 9mm and the GT a .357 magnum. Yeah a .357 will put a bigger hole in someone but if you don't know how to shoot all you are doing is trying to impress by the size of your gun. Give me a marksman with a .22 any day over a fool with .44.
BUT LOOK THE FUNK OUT WHEN YOU COME UP AGAINST A MARKSMAN WITH A .44

Thank God someone around here gets it!!
I was begining to think I was the only sane man on a ship of fools!!
There are a few others I would inlude in that category... You know who you are... no need to name names... I would make those left out feel bad...
And then get called all kinds of dirty names by posers who are offended by being called posers...

Has anyone else noticed that the folks that start these lame troll posts don't even own a 05 Stang? I have noticed the GT owners don't play these troll games. Is the name of this site Mustang Forums.com or GT Mustang Foums.com?
I have seen posts like this from guys that don't own a mustang period. And the topics such as "Why are v6's so bad" are just stupid.
Go out and buy one, then feel free to dis your fellow posters, if you must. But again, most of the folks that can afford a GT are a bit more mature than that.

Dude the V6 is a fast car, not as fast as the GT but low 6s from 0-60 is faster then most of the other comperable or daily comuter cars. So yeah I like driving my Mustang fast and I will drive it fast.
I had a Civic, Volvo, VW and I drove all of them fast ..... but this is way more fun.

But none of them seem to post here though.
I can afford it... but I am certainly not mature... And I will fight with anyone that tries to claim I am... Not that there is much danger in that happening though..

WHy are the 05 GT owners being so harsh on the 05 v6 owners?
Because us GT people are into POWER... and since were power people.. we like to mess with people without power.. and since the V6ers are gullable and easy to mess with, we pick on them to get them riled as it is so easy to do, and becuase it is FUN and we get a kick ouf of it.
Did I get anyone riled ???

Alright...It's been around for quite some time? It's boosted sales of the Mustang? It's ensured that the Mustang line stayed alive and well? It's generally the most popular sale in the Mustang line? It usually outsells the GT (I would argue 3 to 1 in most cases)?
Pick any statement above and insert in place of the "Been around forever" comment. If you're going to be picky.
The fact that it is a v6 means nothing. I could be a small block vs big block and the small block will always outsell the big block. The V6 itself has done nothing but create idiots who think their little 6 cyls are race cars and they try to mod them and "prove" how fast they really are. If you have a 6 cyl, know your place in the mustang world. Don't try to make them fast. You will just prove that you really wish you had a v8.
