Hey i just wanted to know if anyone knew the hp and redline of a 1970 boss 302 and what the handling of it was, any one know im trying to look , any help is welcomed thanks

HP numbers as quoted from Ford is 290....redline which was electronically limited to 6500 rpms IIRC. In actuallity I think Ford underated the Boss 302...1969's had a bit more low end as their intake ports were not as large as the 1970's..the 1970'as you could put a tennis ball down the intake ports on the heads!!! To get the best acceleration from a Boss Mustang, we ran 4:30 gears as the motor needed to rev to make power....and the sweet sound of mechanical lifters...ahhh..man those were the days...My 70 Boss 302 is competition yellow, sport slats, deluxe interior and 8 track tape player..LOL..!!!
