I recently found someone selling a set of Magnum 500 wheels from his '73 Mach 1. He says the tire size is 245/60r15. Could anyone tell me if this setup would fit on a stock '65 coupe? And if so, your thoughts on the fit from a cosmetic standpoint. The car has drum brakes around, no discs if that will play a roll. I would just drive my car down and try the fit but I'm missing an engine at the moment. (Will have it back this week though!!) Thank you in advance! -EJ

Whoops, make that 245/60r14, not 245/60r15.

yes, they will bolt on just fine as long as yours is five lug. there were some odd 4 lug ones out there in teh earlier years like yours. we do 245 45 17s all the time which is the exact same width as what you have and 1/10th of an inch larger in diameter so you are good to go.

Thanks for the info!! They are now sitting in my garage waiting on my car to get back from the shop. :D They are pretty much brand spanking new. Can't wait to throw them on. -EJ
