It stands for King of the Road.  I do not have the specs in front of me at the moment but it has 40 more hp than the GT500.  There are some other items that I am sure someone more informed than me can tell you about.  Obvious physical differences in the exterior (like the hood) and of course an extra special dealer markup just for the discriminating buyer.

I was told by the local dealer here (Michigan) that it would cost about 100K and only 1000 total would be produced.  This dealership was told by Ford that they would not be able to even order one.  Many of the first ones are being sold by special order and not going to make it to a dealer.  I don't know if this is all true but it is what the dealer is slinging here.

It is something like that, but not exactly.  We will know who is getting them within the next month or so.

They're nice but unless you're name is Gates or Trump you won't be able to afford the markup. Unless you simply have to have one, it's better to get a regular GT 500 and throw on a CAI and tune for about $700. That will put you up around 580hp from the dynos I've seen.
