Default next mods to '99 cobra

i have a 99 cobra with just a flowmaster catback and 4.10's and im trying to decide what to do next for mods. im gonna go with ajlt CAI but i was curious of how much difference an off road x-pipe would make. any other suggestions?

Hey there,

Full-length welded in sub-frame connectors. Was the first thing I did to my '99 Cobra (when I had it). Got mine from GRC Performance - www.GRCPerformance.com

Hope that helps some

i would say xpipe if you can go with an off road. if not, i would say JLT CAI. seems like if your able to push more air out, you'd wanna be able to pull more in.

i had the flowmaster catback with a off road x on my mach1 and i didnt like it. Its really raspy n doesnt sound good imo. Either get a catted x or off road H. But i would to the jlt CAI first. You should also buy a diablo sport tuner so you can squeeze some extra ponies out of her.

plus one to all of those above non catted x pipes are real raspy if you don't like the exotic v8's sound go with the h pipe. Or look at lt's they are a good hp buy if you have the cash for the install or the know how to install them. But for that cash you can buy nirtous...

get a CAI and an intake spacer from Royc.....despite what people say yes the intake spacers do work, and if you can afford it o/r H as well, this will aloow more air in and out.

I got the JLT and I have to say I didn't feel any difference at all with it on. The sound of the car got better but there was 0 SOTP feel. Same thing goes for the full length subframe connectors I got from MM. I mean I'm sure they help but it's nothing I was able to feel when I took turns. One thing is for sure with the OR xpipe is you will hear the diff.

Oh yeah and if you are looking for more power look into a nazty ported upper intake mani. The guys that get it done on another forum are raving about them and I have seen pics of the product Before-during-after his work. Def one of the next things on my top 5 list.
