Is there a noticeable difference in the sound of the engine, exhaust, or any other cool noises with the installation of a cold air intake? I've been reading all these posts about them and never see it mentioned I just remember My friend swapped out the airbox on his integra and it sounded a lot meaner.
I recently put on my CAI, and while I think they claim to make it sound better, I'm pretty sure my car got quieter, I'm sure it varies based on the CAI but that is what I think the K&N did to mine. Ask 5 more people though you'll come up with 5 more answers.

I put on a C&L CAI and I have a single Axleback Race Pro muffler from Pypes. No real difference in exhaust sound quality. I do like the extra horses and torque though. CAI and tuner is money well spent for someone that isn't going forced Induction right away. I wouldn't do it for the sound though, just the power.
