I don't have a video. I wasn't cruising around looking for a race it just kinda happened. The guy was cool about it tho. Either way believe what you want I know what happened.
Well if it was a Ls2 i believe it, but if it was the New Ls3 in those vette's then i dunno. Ls2 auto trap around 110, Stick around 113. Weren't the Cobra's goverend?

LOL dude your a jackass, you ever heard of weight? yeah i do know what a cobra is. even with the top down the CD is .32-.34 the cobra is like .34-.36, so at best the cobra is still only on equal ground....then guess what back to the weight diffrence which is what 400lbs....until a video exist that he stayed even i dont believe it.

Agreed. Anything can happen on the street. The cars are very close. One with the weight advantage, one with the power advantage. No need to bust the guys chops over something so close.
USMCRebel, if you want to start namecalling, I'll be the first to back off. But, I at least know what I am talking about. Sure, everyone has their opinion. Cobra's third gear is unbelievable. They top out at 170+. Why wouldn't he be able to keep up? I'd suggest you lay off the namecalling jack

These two cars brought up in a thread always seems to bring out the best in ppl..lol
Drag times seem to be all over the place. Yes Doodad did show a slip for the time you mentioned...But a C6Z06 averages mid 11's with a 124-125 trap speed and we all know A C6Z would pummel a pullied Terminater......Look at the GT 500....700lbs heavier than a LS2 C6 with 100 more horsepower with a solid axle at that, and they run identical times with equal drivers.......Like I said in a earlier post, I did not call BS because the difference in numbers between a vert LS2 C6 and intake/exhaust Terminator is too close to call to liberaly wave the imfamous flag.....Good run and kill to the Cobra owner!!!
Grabber, I would'nt be to quick to to say a pullied Cobra would beat a bolt-on LS2 because I posted a vid on here about a month ago with a bolt-on C6 LS2 running 11.1@121mph....

In Denver,CO yeah perhaps..........A6's have trapped 115.8 with a 1.94 60 ft...

I agree C6. But the traps are much higher then a bolt-on C6 Vette. Me and you have an understanding. A Stock C6Z06 would kill a pullied termi any day of the week. We are straight C6. It's the other guys I'm worried about, that keep reading motorttrend.

Cobras have insane top end, I believe the OP. Besides, the Vette had new car tags, so maybe he needed a little more practice. Either way, both cars are faster than mine and perfectly capable of running neck and neck with one another. Ones lighter and more aerodynamic, the other has a little more power, who knows. Good run OP.

My 2nd of 2 140+ mph runs this weekend.
Sitting on the freeway minding my own business with the girl in the car just tootin along on a Saturday afternoon. A C6 with a new car plate and exhaust comes onto the freeway. I chase a little and get up next to him. Younger guy, not too old thinks he has me covered, with my lowly GT (he was obviously didn't look). He takes off when I am not ready I was just trying to pace him. So I catch back up, drop to 3rd, and tell him on his 3. 1...2...3 and we are off. 65 mph roll in 3rd gear it stays dead even. 4th gear bang! I start to pull just a hair. I smack 5th as if my life depended on it and he starts inching. When we both shut down at 140+ it was dead even. We get off at the same exit and do a little talking. He was pissed off to say the least especially when I told him the car was stock except for a CAI and catback. He gives me the thumbs up as he makes his turn.
Overall it was a good Saturday Vette killin!
not a cobra, the 3rd aint nearly that strong in the GT, but thats the last of it from me.

I must confide that that 11.1@121 ran by that Bolt-on C6 also had a stall....It was an A4 if memory serves correct...Stall is still a bolt-on though......This race went up to 140mph....Yes the trap speed on the best running pullied Termie is 123mph, but remember that there is much more wind resistance at 140mph than at 121-123mph...I would think that as speeds get higher, drag co-efficiency plays a bigger role and more wind resistance would eat up that 2 mph trap advantage.....No hard data on it, but it seems like a logical conclusion to me...
Whatever the case Grabber, I love both Cobras and Vettes, including blown S197 GT's
