Yes, I did.  it was a beautiful car before they butchered it with that 2jzgte or whatever it was.  fast and the furious has to get away from rice and more importantly
A. stop making movies that glorify civics, and
B. actually go and read about cars before making a movie about them.

I think they said 'NOS' 400 times in the first movie.  Also, I've never seen an eclipse run a 10 second quarter like they say in the movie haha and ive also never seen a "900 hp 'Detroit Muscle' Charger" run times as slow as slow as they said in the movie

they never really glorified civics that much.. they only used them as beaters to catch the trucks.. and there are some pretty fast civics.. and they are cheap.

i know of an eclipse in my area that runs 11's..  i personally love the movies..

They should have stopped with Tokyo Drift, that one was way better than 2fast 2faurious, and i believe in going out on top.

i dont know i think that the muscle cars will own the screen. i mean think about it. the first one had just tuners, the second had the camaro and charger, and the recent one had a few scattered here and there. i think this next one (if it makes it to production) will be predominately muscle cars. LET THE MUSCLE CAR WARS BEGIN!

Yup! So it's like your part of the movie, right? With the features of this car every men will love it. This Ford Mustang grille is aggressive and forward-leaning car. To those who are into driving and know what real sports styling is, get this Mustang right now!

That was an RB26DETT they swapped into the Fastback.

I have a friend w/ a 548awhp Talon that runs low 10's. And it's the same thing as an Eclipse. There are LOTS of fast DSM's out there....

Well, I agree it's sacrilege, but still. I'm not gooing to go out of way to not learn import stuff because I have ome grudge against them or anything. Besides, I like all cars, regardless of country of origin....

Yes sir.  That is one of the best motors to come out of Japan.  I actually thought it was kinda cool how they turned a straight-line Fastback into a drift car.

Oh and I cry everytime I see somebody try to cram an LS1 into a 3rd gen RX7...

The RB26 is a great engine.

And why don't you like LS1 swapped FD's??? I love Japanese sportscars, and am usually against swaps, but if I had an FD, unless it was in pristine condition, I'd def throw an LS1 in that bad boy....

+10  I'm a long time Mustang fan.......and a fan of keeping cars with make engines of their own kind.  But if I had the money, I'd jam an LS1/M6 in my 93 vert in a heartbeat.

^ Yeah, I agree. I love the 350Z's, and some place I found online is working on an LS1 swap kit for them. An older, high mileage model for 13-14K would be awesome. Throw the LS1 in there, along w/ a head/cam package. That'd be sweet. I wouldn't do it to one in good shape, though.....

To each his own, but I'm pretty sure a 345 cu. in. LS1 weighs considerably more than the 1.3 liter 13b rotary.  It would probably throw off the weight distribution, therefore defeating the sole purpose of the RX7...DRIFTING.  However, if you can do an LS1 swap and get it right,  my hat's off to ya for having the skill and know-how for such a task.

RX7's are good at more than just drifting. And you'd be surprised at how light an LS1 is. It's make a great all around street car IMO.....

+1  GM has refined the small block OHV motor to its pinnacle.  Its not a big heavy motor by any means.  And FWIW, I have seen an LS1 swapped RX-7 in a drifting competition before.  So obviously it doesn't throw off the weight distribution that much.

Bummer, My car is too stock looking. Its not even done yet either. I don't think they want a 700+ HP sleeper looking car.
